Open Atrium

Hello out there,

I wanted to group the Organic groups to form a higher hierarchy above the OG. I do not need anything like permission nesting, so Taxonomy feels like a good solution.

But I encountered a problem. Here is what I tried step by step:
- installed the taxonomy-menu and menu-block modules.
- created a taxonomy and entered some terms.
- referenced some Organic groups to some terms.
- created a menu block containing this taxonomy and let it display on front page

It's been awhile since I was in communication with this group - but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in the project, I've just been very very busy. I put together a site with organic groups for Transition Silicon Valley, but the team hasn't adopted using it yet. Meaning I don't know whether the configuration I created will work in practice. Recently I've been using an OpenAtrium site because I write for examiner.com and part of the examiner 2.0 transition is to set up an OpenAtrium site as a private community for Examiners to chat with each other.

After attending the recent Eugene Drupal Users Group meeting, I wanted to reach out to some local networks of programmers to see if anyone had any ideas to contribute to a project that I am planning for this summer: A project management tool for activists, organizers and social movements.

I'm a student at the University of Oregon, a computer science minor, an environmental studies major and an activist. I have directed many issue/election campaigns and I started a new student group on campus. I work with organizers from across the NW on campaigns related to climate change.

The message box at the top of this group needs to be updated since the link to github is no longer the right place to go for issues. Shouldn't it be https://community.openatrium.com/home now?

I am using Rules to send a reminder for cases in open atriums case tracker based on a date field. I came quite far (http://drupal.org/node/652158), but I'm having trouble sending the mail to the right user. Right now, the mail goes to the author of the node. I would like it to go the assigned user for that case however. The assignee is not a content field, but a custom value created by the case tracker module. In views I can use case tracker fields, but the case tracker context doesn't show up in the rules argument data type list.

We're using Drupal for our corporate website, and we're thinking about using Open Atrium for our Intranet. I want to streamline our processes and avoid double entry as much as possible.

These are the use cases:

1. Our corporate website has login / pass fields in which our partners or employees can login. If our partners or employees login, then they are routed to Open Atrium.

I am heaving problem understanding Open Atrium workflow for projects>tasks ?
I am not sure when tasks and projects show up (or not) and how in interface...is there any example?
It would be great if default distro would have some content and documentation that explains this!

i'm looking into integrating the chatroom module (which i'm currently whipping back into shape) with Open Atrium.

any interest in this out there?

Hia, sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm struggling to build (OG) features of modules that does not use Views, as I do not know how to filter for Space without Views.. With Views you select the spaces filter, and set for instance "show nothing" when node is not in space.

But, what if the feature I wish to build does not use Views? Am I out of luck?

I was playing around with integrating Atrium and the Features Server feature and thought I would share my basic process. This is in no way perfect but it's a start. Please add on other useful pieces of information.
