Boron (HTLM5 base theme)

Curious if anyone in the group has used the Boron theme? Sounds like this might be a good theme to be working with especially when HTML5 becomes common place on browsers. http://drupal.org/project/boron

DrupalCon London Session - Omega 3.x

For those of you that may not know, and have yet to vote, I wanted to take a quick minute to post about the DrupalCon London session I've proposed for discussing Omega 3.x, and all the amazing enhancements that have gone in so far, and those which are still on the horizon.

Validation: HTML5, RDFa & WAI-ARIA

I want to validate a site built with Drupal 7 (with RDFa enabled), using a Genesis's HTML5 sub-theme & with lots of WAI-ARIA added for accessibility.

Looks like with - http://validator.nu - we can do HTML5 & ARIA.

But really not sure how to also evaluate for the RDFa as well.

The W3C doesn't seem to like it either although it can to XHTML & RDFA apparently - http://validator.w3.org

Some guidance on validation would be appreciated. I have heard that someones is maintaining a custom schema for HTML5 & RDFA, but not sure how to use it.

Adding Placeholder Values

I'd just like to reference http://drupal.org/project/placeholder since placeholder values seem like a really nice usability feature with HTML5.

Presently there is just a Drupal 6 version of this code, but it's essentially just a function & some javascript so really think it might be better placed in a larger set of HTML5 tools.

I haven't seen any discussion about this, so this might be a really short thread, but I'm hoping to incorporate this in a Drupal 7 - HTML5 site.

Mobile Theme - new branch, new development

Last week I became co-maintainer of the Mobile Theme. http://drupal.org/project/mobile

Since the theme first was launched years ago, much has happened in the mobile space -- to the point where mobile first is becoming the smart way to go.

Introducing an adaptive layout into Omega

I want to start this discussion because of a conversation that came up today in the #drupal-omega IRC room.

The idea is to introduce a completely restructured layout/presentation architecture into Omega incorporating the mobile-first method, and using @media-queries in order to adjust/alter presentation for other screen sizes.

Drop the GRDDL profile in HTML5?

It appears the profile attribute is dead in HTML5 (all sources appear to be telling me this) and that explicit declaration of GRDDL profile is not necessary in HTML5?

Drupal HTML5 Codesprint in Galway

Just though I'd mention this in the Ireland group.
There's a physical codesprint in New York on Saturday.
http://groups.drupal.org/node/118164
Myself and Lin are meeting up to work on it from here.

So if anybody is around Galway on Saturday, and fancies helping out...
We might even have some food...

DrupalCon Core Conversation: HTML5 + Drupal 8

I've been having a lot of conversations about HTML5 and Drupal 8 this week while in Chicago — both with people here and with people back in New York. And the Core Conversation proposal deadline is coming up soon!

This is what I'm thinking. Let's present a real-world "This Is What We Think Should Be Done". As a call-to-action, where people can get involved and there are leaders driving each thing.

I'm thinking of submitting this proposal. And present as a team, team-tag style (one person do each section):

Looking for reviewers for Adaptivetheme for Drupal 7

Hi peeps - I'm looking for anyone who might stick their hand up and volunteer to help review the Drupal 7 version of Adaptivetheme - I really want this to be the most accessible version of the theme ever and I need some help and feedback from real users.

There are a couple of areas I need to hone in on:

  1. Structure (sectioning and headings).
  2. Custom theme settings forms.
