Hi folks,

last week customer came to me with his homepage, and asked me to make a relaunch from the actual running wordpress installation to a new setup, running on drupal.

No i've seen, that he uses many custom plugins and a very extensive template. Would you recommend the relaunch? I don't think this would be simple...

What would you do?

I think its worth us tearing this apart and looking at the ideas they have bought in, I've only played with it briefly and its pretty nice actually. That said my initial impression was not so favorable (omg this is lame), however the more I play around with and uncover its various features the more I like it.

I am probably going to contribute it once it is finished. What features would people expect to be ported from a premium theme such as this.

I wanted to share an interesting result of some research we just completed on how Foundations are (or are not) using Open Source CMSs, like Drupal to power their own websites. This really was a tangent of another report we're working on but we found it interesting enough to share on our blog.

Our curiosity lead us to look at the top 885 Foundations with websites (based on endowment size), and we used a browser plug-in to determine how the sites were built. We were able to clearly identify the technology powering 478 of the 885 Foundation websites (54%).

I love Drupal, but some of its themes need work, but then again that has not been its focus. Its focus has been great code, which I love! There are wordpress sites I was thinking about converting, but wanted to know if someone else has already done them. Here they are: LightWord, Mystique, Easel, Sliding Door, Station, Antisnews, StudioPress, Glossy Stylo, MT dark

Is there any way I can make TinyMCE behave the same way it does in Wordpress (same buttons, same order, same "advanced" toolbar)?
If there is any, has anyone managed to accomplish that?

I've been using the Wordpress_import module, and found an annoyance was the lack of support for the [wpcaption] tag.

It seemed like something that may be useful outside of the Wordpress_import as well, so I put together a simple module to implement the tag as an input filter.

It's working well for me, and I'm considering sharing it as a contributed module. I haven't found another module that does the complete implementation, as follows:

I completely realize that there's no rigorous scientific method to this, but I'd thrown it together in an effort to convince someone that Drupal was not a risk and was on the upswing. My argument was that the real strength of a CMS was evidenced by its developer community.
