LA Drupal meetings (video podcast) on iTunes

Our video channel (provided by Blip.tv) allows us to broadcast our videos in a feed for you, iTunes, Yahoo, and Adobe's Media Player. I've spent some time massaging these settings and we're now live on iTunes under the Podcast section. Subscribe or just feel free to download videos there.

The first videos that are listed are our May 2008 recordings of Scott Nelson covering the Services module and AMFPHP module (four parts).

Introductions...

Greetings from Sioux Falls, SD! Over the past few months I have been asked by a few people the question, "how many Drupal people are their in South Dakota"? I don't know the answer to that question, but I'm hoping this group will help us find out the answer. Perhaps, with enough people interested we can get some actual meet-ups going in this fine state of ours. Of course, you don't have to live in South Dakota to join our group. I know for instance plenty of people that enjoy visiting Sioux Falls from southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa. Welcome to all!

Drupal'n'Go Call For Projects and Participants

cross posting from Drupal For Good, and the french version at the France Group

A community effort to help a NGO get some ass-kicking internet presence — October 4th and 5th, 2008 — Paris, La Cantine Numérique

On the first weekend of October 2008, in only 2 days, the Drupal French Community will build a complete and live website for a selected NGO. All free. Free as in free beer, and free as in free speech.

What’s in it for the selected NGO?

You do not have an internet presence? You have a very lousy one? You want to to do a specific incredibly cool thing on the web?

Please register on the main Drupal n’Go web site (http://www.drupalngo.org/user/register). Then visit http://www.drupalngo.org/en/node/add/applications to fill in the project application form.

Both small and large NGOs can apply. The community will choose a single NGO project.

BDUG's new group page

The Berkeley Drupal Users Group now has it's own g.d.o: http://groups.drupal.org/berkeley-users-group-bdug.
This group replaces the old BDUG site at http://drupal.citris-uc.org. Thanks to the sexy new og_panels features, I don't need to maintain a separate site just to support our user group. And now I can't just cross post to the Bay Area group with the click of a checkbox, rather than copy-and-pasting each month.
