Tell Us About Your OpenAid Site in Africa
Hi All,
I will be giving a webinar on May 13th at 3:00pm GMT on OpenAid in Africa.
Registration link- https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3622382096998495746
If you built or maintain a site for an organization operating in Africa let me know. It'd be great to both have OA members attend as well as here about websites using OpenAid. I have a few I plan on speaking about, but could definitely mention others as well.
Thanks,
Clayton
Expanding on the White House Petition Code
Many folks on this list have already heard the news that the White House released their first set of Drupal code on GitHub:
https://github.com/WhiteHouse/petition
And it is for the petition/advocacy tool that they built here:

This has gotten a good deal of coverage on Reddit & other sites who are excited about government participation in open source.

Peace Geeks is a Vancouver-based non-profit organization that aims to develop the technology, communications and management capacities of non-profit organizations working on the promotion of peace, accountability and human rights through remote, volunteer-based project teams.

Hi,
I thought I'd pitch a great web app we've built with Drupal. It's a revolutionary concept for Charity organizations to gather donations and track them to the grassroot level. Our main goal is to make donating transparent and more social!
Go check out Bank4Hope @ http://bank4hope.org. We're looking for charity organizations around the world to partner with as well as companies that are interested in working with us to do more than just good ideas!
Read more5 motivators of giving in Open Source Ecology, CiviCRM
Hello everybody,
we are trying to implement the 5 motivators of giving, as shared by in the TED Talk of Taylor Conroy - How to Build a School in 3 Hours (worth watching, 19min) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC02SmuOxYI . The motivators are: Group Mentality, Tangible Outcome, Microgiving, Personal Connection and Recognition. We believe that these are indeed motivators and we want to integrate them in the CiviCRM Personal Campaigns.
Who are we and what we are doing?

Bonjour [English follows]

At Drupalcon? Join us Thursday 12-1PM in the Erie meeting room for Revolutionary Drupal: Coding and Supporting Social Change
Technology doesn't drive social change, but it is one tool used -- from the streets of revolutionary Cairo to community organizers in Detroit. Can we help support these social change movements with Drupal? Are there ways we can code and structure Drupal projects to make them more useful to activists? Does Drupal have a role in protests and strategic direct action?
This session will be an open discussion for those working around social change, case studies of using Drupal, and brainstorming for ways we could collaborate or support Drupal projects that support social change.
