DrupalCamp Donetsk 2011, 25-27th of November
Dear friends, we are pleased to announce the good news! We have started to accept session proposals on the DrupalCamp Donetsk 2011, that will take place at Ramada Hotel in Donetsk, Ukraine at 25-27th of November. You can propose a session on a DrupalCamp website until 31th of October. Afterwards attendees will vote for the best sessions.
The DrupalCamp program includes 14 sessions, BoFs, a code sprint day, contests and a party with a Drupal-rock!
While attending the DrupalCamp you can increase your knowledge of Drupal, meet new professional contacts, find employees or employer. It is going to be more then 100 attendees from Ukraine and Eastern Europe!

DrupalCamp Donetsk 2011 — is yearly event for Drupal folks, which happens in Donetsk, Ukraine. In this year we are going to have 120 attendants and about 12 sessions. Estimate dates is 26-27 of November 2011. There will be separate track for BOF and code-sprints. Slides of the session are going to be in English. DrupalCamp Kyiv 2011, June 3-4
DrupalCamp Kyiv 2011 will take place on June 3-4, 2010 in Kyiv, in an i-klass venue at Lavrskaya st., 16 (former Ivan Mazepa, 34). Our goal is to make this event a real festival for drupallers by adding a pinch of organization and preserving a friendly and informal atmosphere of previous conferences.
So, two days, four streams, six reports and presentations in each amount to about 50 free topics. In addition, this time we hope to make our schedule more hectic by pre-determining the reports. One of the streams will fully belong to English-speaking guests, and besides, we’ll have a special guest ;)
Just like last time, the main conference will be preceded with a series of paid trainings (presumably, one basic and one advanced) that will allow to better prepare for the main event.
But that's not all. This time there will be two special events – translators’ sprint and code-sprint, where everyone can make their contribution to Drupal.
Previous camp experience shows that a solid level of event’s organization requires substantial investments, that’s why this time we are forced to introduce fee for participating in the camp. We hope that a symbolic price of 100 UAH (about 12 USD for early registration) won’t stop you from attending such a rare event. You can pay for participation through the website, as well as on the day of the conference (but the price will be considerably higher).
And, of course, there is no way we can do it without our sponsors - this year we decided to make the possibility of sponsorship much more affordable for everyone by reducing the amount of contribution by almost 4 times! For the terms of sponsorship please visit the sponsor page.

Drupalcamp Sofia 2011, 22-23 January
Hi Folks! Would be nice if you can join us! There are still interesting topics that should be covered. We await a very mixed audience, starting from developers, site builders, companies & business oriented people, NGOs, government representatives and other from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Austria, Germany/US and other.
On Friday the 21.01.2011 there will be full day Drupal training (Drupal in a Day) and a small evening event where the organization members and interested people can join and discuss about Drupal and other things.
On Saturday the first DrupalCamp in Bulgaria will start and all the hot topics will be discussed at the Redhouse Sofia.

Yesterday I was invited to the meeting in office of Gorod.ua, the Ukrainian web portal, to speak about Drupal performance. The way like those guys are using Drupal is good, however there is lack of performance. They are spreading a spirit of their child to the whole of Ukraine, so it is a time to expect more visitors. We spoke a lot and I got better understanding of what is needed. We touched many problems, including not typical and theoretically solved them.

City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open
Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246
The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.
If you want DrupalCon in your city/country in 2010 please review the document and add your feedback!

Друзі, потрібно визначити одне місце, де будемо обговорювати питаня українського Drupal. На DrupalCamp Kyiv було вирішено, що найзручнішим способом обговорння буде гугл-група, оскільки вона ощадить час і нею просто користуватися.

Враховуючи те, що в мене мабуть найбільша локалізація(із великою кількістю модулів), пропоную всім, хто зацікавлений в глобальній локалізації і оновленні її для 5-ї та 6-ї і в майбутньому 7-ї версій викласти всі свої локалізовані *.po файли в цю гілку, а я в свою чергу беру на себе злиття і підготовку відповідних шаблонів для 5 та 6 версій і майбутню інтеграцію в HEAD друпалу через cvs.
Пропозиції типу - локалізація лише frontend попоную обговорювати десь в кулуарах і не засмічувати дану гілку.
Питання щодо якості перекладу піднімати на даному етапі не варто. А якщо і піднімати - то створюйте будь-ласка окрему тему.
