Welcome to the Developers Group for the Willamette Valley and Western Oregon
This groups mission is to create and/or bring together a local community of Drupal developers for the Willamette Valley and Western Oregon.
Re-activating this group with a meet-up?
I recently moved down to the area from Seattle and I noted that the Willamette Valley Drupal Users Group has been quiet since before the COVID-19 Pandemic. I'd like to change that. I am proposing to restart live meetings and would like to gauge interest from everyone. One idea I had was to hold them on a Salem-Corvallis-Eugene monthly rotation. Thoughts? Or does everyone just drive up to Portland for their DUG meetings?

Same as last month, I'm hosting a meetup in Bend to discuss Drupal with anyone who's interested!
This month I'm ready to talk about Search/Facet API, integrating them with SOLR, and various levels of customization that can be done to improve site search usability and functionality. Appropriate for any level of Drupal experience!
This time let's meet at Townshend's Tea in downtown Bend, at 5:30 on Tuesday April 11th.

Hey Everyone,
It has been many years since I have attended/facilitated a Drupal meetup group in Eugene. I was speaking with a friend today about the possibility of starting the group up again to discuss what's happening with us Eugenians in terms of our Drupal projects, our interest in the overall Drupal project, and anything else that seemed relevant/interesting. I really enjoyed meeting before at the J-TEA shop and drinking fine tea and discussing web design/development.
If you have an interest in meeting up again or socializing a bit, feel free to post your comments here.

The first ever Devsigner Conference is happening in Portland May 23-25, and we'd love to see you there!
Devsigner is a brand new event that will bring together frontend developers and technology-oriented designers and invite them to share their expertise, helping them take frontend development to the next level. We will be using Drupal as an assumed base platform, but since frontend development isn't tied to a particular backend, our audience includes any frontend dev and web-focused designer.

PDXTech4Good, an all-volunteer group, is hosting this free event that I thought might appeal to some Drupal folks. Three Portland-area developers will talk about the CRMs RedHen (built in Drupal), CiviCRM (integrates with Drupal, and lots of community cross-over) and Salesforce (used widely with Drupal sites).
It's specifically oriented toward nonprofits, community groups and activists, but anyone who uses CRMs might benefit.

My company - Forward Support - is looking to build its capacity when it comes to Drupal development. We have some larger projects we are currently in the process of bidding for, and if we get them we'll need to hire on some contractors for those projects. As such, we're looking for resumes from people who can do either/both front-end and back-end Drupal working, including:
Themes & subthemes
Module creation
Views & Panels
