Drupalladder contains lessons on various topics. But it is difficult to find lessons. People use ladders to see the list of lessons. There are some lessons which are nice but not easily found. Example 'What to do when you have a white screen when installing Drupal', 'How to troubleshoot database connection problems' and 'How to Start Over if Your Installation is Interrupted'.

I think we should find a way to display these lessons in a better way and create a search to search not only on Project name but also on Lesson title. We should continue to improve these lessons too.

We recently added every step/lesson in majority of the Drupal Ladders as tasks into Drupal GCI 2013. Students started taking on the tasks and are already willing to help grow the project. Luckily I mass imported all of the steps as a csv and now we can recycle tasks/lessons every code-in contest. You can see we have plenty of tasks open related and not related to DL @ http://www.google-melange.com/gci/org/google/gci2013/drupal

Last Saturday we celebrated the first Drupal Ladder meetup in the Sevilla local group, Spain. It was a total success with 15 sprinters that worked through the ladder, at the end of the day most worked on real patches for Drupal 8, and some of them are already RTBCed.

In our retrospective, we talked about the pros, cons and improvement chances for potential new DrupalLadder meetups, and one of the already known problems for non-English speakers arised: language can be a blocker. Some people proposed to have DrupalLadder lessons in Spanish and/or translate existing ones.

I've started a Drupal Ladder style guide page at http://drupalladder.org/content/drupal-ladder-style-guide. It is linked from the Getting Involved page now. Basically we should follow the Drupal.org style guide, though I highlighted a few of those that we need to pay attention to in particular, and added a number of items that are particular to the Drupal Ladder site.

Now any content posted to the Drupal Ladder group can be tagged: issue sprint, learn sprint, drupalladder.org, drupal ladder distro, and/or 1% by 2014. People who want a place to just talk about code can click the taxonomy term in the right side bar that says "Drupal Ladder Distro". People who want a place to just talk about drupalladder.org content can clidk the taxonomy term that says "drupalladder.org". Etc.

Hopefully this will make our site both more user friendly and more productive for working groups and Drupal Ladder activity organizers.

Hopefully now that we have the ability to keep track of "lesson status" (draft, ready for review, needs review, final / up to date) as of the 1.0-alpha14 update, drupalladder.org will become a lot more usable for many more people. But we have some clean up work to do first.
