Drupal Mentored Code Sprint - 22 October, 2016

We are excited to announce #drupal Mentored sprints with VijayChandraMani. Vijay is an active Drupal contributor, one of the oldest members of the Chennai Drupal community. He currently works with Capgemini. Many of us are already familiar with his fascinating story “How Drupal Changed my life” featured in Dries Keynote at DrupalCon Dublin.
This is an opportunity for you to get some commits to #drupal! If you know the tools but still could use help picking issues and going through the process, the Mentored Core Sprint is for you.

The Indian Ministry of Culture has initiated a project to digitise India's libraries and make the content available online. The initiative is called the National Virtual Library of India (http://www.nmlindia.nic.in/pages/display/38-national-virtual-library-of-india-(nvli)) and is is a massive project being executed under the guidance of IIT Mumbai. Drupal CAP Team presentation at SRM University for the MCA Students
Hello,
The DrupalCAP team visited SRM University on 17th March 2016. We had the presentation in the second half of the day. We presented the DrupalCAP presentation and spoke to the students regarding the benefits of joining an opensource community and why Drupal. Students were asked if they would like to be DrupalCAP's and we have 7 nominations.
The DrupalCAP team will be interacting with these students to select a Drupal Campus Ambassador.

Yesterday I had a fruitful meeting with the Alumnus of Anna University. They have agreed for the Drupal CAP for the 4 constituent colleges. They were kind to provide their halls to hold the monthly meetings for of Chennai Drupal Community. I would like to send a formal email of what is that the CAP will provide and the way forward. Is there a place I can download these material? Any help will be appreciated.
BTW we just received some interest from Kings College (http://www.kingsindia.net/) for the CAP .

Drupal association plays a key role in supporting Drupal Project, Drupal.org and the Drupal community. I am contesting for the Director At Large post on Association Board to help support the organization.
I would like to work with the Drupal Association and be a representative of the Asian community and contribute towards building community strategy. I would like to make a positive contribution towards community participation not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of quality of participation.
