I am wondering if anyone is aware of any third party tools or simple suggestions for organizing a ride/room share board for our Drupal Camp.
We are not using COD for the camp and do NOT want to add this feature to our camp site at this time (maybe next year). I'm trying to figure out if a google doc is the best solution or if there might be a third party site that would provide this functionality for specific events/conferences.

Why?
Several of the different organizers of US Midwest camp events have identified an common issue that it is becoming hard to communicate with regards to scheduling to other events in the area or country, to ensure best possible attendance. This problem is becoming worse with DrupalCons squeezing the summer camp schedule possibilities. This communication cannot be public since they may involve contracts or unannounced dates.

COD 7.x is in Beta!
Thanks to everyone sprinting this week, we put over 250 combined hours on getting COD into a stable state and released our first beta at Drupalcon Austin!
Major new features from the alphas (Before Jan):
Transitioned from Entity Registration to Ticket module
Having a proper registration system that meets the needs of camps, cons, and non-drupal events has been a source of pain and work-arounds in the 7.x version of COD (and registration in general). The ticket module changes much of this by re-architecting to a data model similar to eventbrite.

A while ago I shared that we are trying to better understand who plays what role in the Drupal Community. A small team of Association Board and staff have done some interviews with about 20 community members and now we want to get a broader understanding - what are the issues that concern you, and who should be doing the work to address them?
We're reaching out to our most active community members to ask you to complete a survey about who you think should be doing what in our community.

I was somewhat overwhelmed at the amount of people who are trying to use COD, and found out a bit of that first hand this weekend. I'm happy to say beta is coming along very nicely, and we've made some great progress in the past few months...
Thanks to the NYC Camp team for input and showing me how they've used COD for their site, I'm looking forward to integrating their improvements upstream, especially the dashboards. MongoDB was there, Jason working on Ticket Module, and Emilie has written a new base theme for COD based on Omega4.
