Drupal Camp Mexico City! ¡ Más de 1000 visitas en una semana !
Estimados Drupaleros,

The Twin Cities, Minnesota is the home of at least 4 monthly drupal meetings (drupal user group, commerce user group, happy hour, & coder night). In addition, we have monthly community labs, occasional code sprints, and the best Drupal Camp in the country :-)
Currently, we have no organizing body beyond the Drupal Camp planning committee, which meets as necessary to plan and organize our camp. We're currently discussing the possible benefits or drawbacks of trying to do a better job of coordination between the various events/groups.

First Friday CSI November
As announced during the opening ceremony of the Prague DrupalCon:
The next First Friday Contrib Sprint is coming up.
Friday November 1st is the second time the entire global Drupal community meets to work on preparing Modules for Drupal 8.
We all know that having Drupal8 Core done without any contrib modules is not really very attractive for our customers. Hence this initiative.
Mobilize the Drupal companies in your area, get together, and create some great Drupal 8 modules.

If you're coming to BADcamp, come help make COD for Drupal 7.x better!
We'll be tackling a few issues in the queue, and depending on how much we get done, releasing a new Alpha.
Discuss below which things you want to work on, and maybe with some pre-organization we can make this a really effective sprint. I'll be at BADcamp sprinting on mainly commons, but want to help people get setup if they're interested in improving COD.
Some topics:
1) Moving scheduling from rooms to event CT

Drupal 8 well proceeded with it's readyness. Sure, it's a lot to do to make it ready, but now that the API freeze passed, we should not just wait till it's out...
It's time to start thinking about the next steps towards a stable and healthy Drupal ecosystem: Drupal Contrib needs to be ready too!
Thus we started the initiative to organize local sprints about Drupal 8 Contrib readyness NOW. The word to start contrib ports needs to be spread worldwide.

WNYDUG Inaugural “mini-camp” Recap and Format Proposal
Précis
The Western New York State Drupal User Group https://groups.drupal.org/western-new-york coined the term “mini-camp” for its one-day, nontraditionally located event that was first held on a Saturday in late April, 2013. The benefits of a lower planning overhead, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. session schedule, and unanimous thumbs up of the venue and program inspired us to propose this format as an adjunct to Drupalcamps and Drupalcons.
