Marketplace

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Welcome to the Drupal Services Marketplace. This group offers the facility to post requests for resources and services for commercial / enterprise / online application product development / project services based around Drupal for the rest of the world. If Drupal has benefited you or your company, don't forget to contribute to the Drupal Project (2%-5% of your profit earnings) or join the Drupal Association. Continue to build the Drupal project sustaining it out of every project that is commissioned or completed via this group. The idea is to evolve this project idea into a successful Drupal Commercial Services Open Source Community Support and OSS based Commercial Market Development programme.

Disclaimer: I made this Marketplace as a contribution from myself and friend Drupalars so the group doesn't have any direct association with the Drupal Association and we are volunteering to support and raise more contributions for the Drupal Association and Drupal Project to support its continued sustainability! So join in an contribute all Drupalars and to be Drupalars! -- Fouad Bajwa, the always learning and sharing Drupaler!

Semi-popular UK Drupal blog seeks decent contributors

Hi all,

I am re-purposing my blog site slightly. It's always been a blog and it's fairly popular, but it used to be just me. I'm throwing the doors open (well, within reason) to other authors. If you're a Drupal developer based in the UK or in Ireland, or you're from the UK or Ireland but based elsewhere, and you'd like a platform to share Drupal knowledge from, ping me and let me know:
http://www.drupaler.co.uk

And in case you're wondering, I'll still be an active blogger on there too. =)

Rgds,

Greg

Special offer - UK-based Drupal agency looking to undertake small jobs to improve cash-flow and offering discount.

Hi everyone,

We are a small Drupal agency with a strong reputation, loads of references and top quality work. Our current work is all long deadline, big builds and migrations. While this is great and it's keeping us busy, our cash-flow is suffering a bit, hence my offer!

If you want a content managed website in Drupal, you know exactly what you want, your needs are fairly straightforward and you have a £2,500 OR LESS budget (about $3,500 USD at the moment) then ping me - we might be able to work something out, as we have capacity for small work amongst the bigger stuff.

Drupal.org Redesign Prototype: Iteration 10

Hi,

This week sees the release of iteration 10 in the Drupal redesign prototype.

http://drupal.markboultondesign.com/iteration10

We're currently working with the Drupal Association to further define an advertising strategy for the redesigned d.o. Therefore, we've included a few more ads, but it probably isn't indicative of the final strategy.

Seattle Consultants and Companies List

I thought it might be useful if we created a list of Seattle-area companies and individuals who do Drupal projects for clients. The idea would be that the list could be viewed by potential clients, who might not want to make an account and post a job, and also that other Seattle Drupal User Group members could use the list to find people to refer clients to or help them on projects. It will also give the group members an idea of what type of Drupal expertise we have available locally.

Marketplace for Module Development and Improvement– pooling resources of developers

I'm glad Darren Oh has got a solid proposal for this group. I would suggest that the most needed aspect of a Drupal marketplace would be a way for individual Drupal users and Drupal shops – especially smaller shops – to pool resources to fund specific module development.

User dahacouk called for more structure and a funding model to make the quality of contributed modules the best they can be.

To quote from my endorsement and proposal:

Let's start!

If this project gets finished, it will provide a tremendous boost to Drupal development. Is anyone working on an actual site yet? Has any funding been pledged? I'm ready to start working on it. This is an invitation for anyone who is doing actual work on the project to join me (or let me join you). Edit this page to include what you intend to do.

Anyone Media Temple Grid Server Hosting?

I was curious if anyone has this host, I was curious as to if it's worth paying for the service or not. I notice they have one click installs of drupal. I currently have dreamhost which is a good host but the Grid Service media temple provides is quite inticing espically considering it isn't a whole lot more than what I pay for dreamhost.
