All calls are free and everyone is welcome! While "#npdrupal" refers to "nonprofit Drupal" (similar to "#nptech") our focus is broader than just nonprofit/NGO-specific uses of Drupal and encompasses all "Drupal for good" work like advocacy, community organizing, fundraising, and campaigns.

OurNewton.org is a a volunteer run, ad-free site for community news in and around Newton, MA. We are Newton Public School parents who gather news and events in Newton, Massachusetts, of interest to families, parents, children, teens, seniors, and all adults. We are seeking assistance in bringing the site to the next level. Our current mailing list is 2,700 and growing. We would like to build our list and therefore increase our readership. Polling place lookup module
I'm pleased to report that my company, NGP VAN, Inc., has released the Google Civic module, which makes uses Google Civic API to provide polling place lookup functionality to any Drupal 6 or 7 website, in order to promote participation in the US general election on Nov. 6, 2012. (Or, for that matter, any election for which Google provides data.)

New "Drupal for Good" Site -- Goalraiser
Hi all,
I want to share a new site I developed (using Drupal of course)
It's called Goalraiser and it allows anyone to turn a personal goal into a fundraiser for a cause they care about. (I'm losing 20 pounds to raise money for kids with cancer).
We already have a few campaigns -- someone is going to publish their manuscript, another make 500 calls to get Obama re-elected.
You can start your own campaign if you like. It's free and 100% of money raised goes to the cause.
