Drupal 8 Contribution this weekend?
Hey -
I was wondering if anyone in the community would be interested in meeting up this weekend to help me (and anyone else) get their hands dirty in Drupal 8? I have a version of Drupal 8 installed (I'm sure it needs to be updated) and I'd really like to get involved and contribute something... but I don't know what I'm doing. :/
I was thinking maybe a coffee house someplace either Saturday or Sunday afternoon?
Let me know if anyone is interested.

I was wondering if anyone has setup Drupal to work with PayEverywhere (a product of Merchant e-Solutions)? I have a site that selected this payment solution and I need to expand the "create an account" form to include credit card information. The short version is people need to buy an account on drupal in order to login and use the site.
I'm just looking for the best way to go about this. Thanks!

TCDrupal meetup--Drupal vs. Wordpress--Weds Oct. 2nd
Due to Drupalcon Prague, the Twin Cities Drupal September meetup is scheduled 1 week later than normal -- Wednesday October 2nd from 7-9PM.
Drupal vs. Wordpress
The week's wait will be worth it. A few months back, Chris Weber from the Nerdery tantalizingly offered to host a Drupal vs. Wordpress session. Chris and a Nerdery colleague, Sherman Bausch, promise to bring an entertaining review comparison of the two open source "rivals" to the table. Bring your questions and your partisan opinions and expect to have some myths busted.
To up the ante just a little bit, the TC Drupal community has been invited to take place in a Drupal vs. Wordpress Battle Rayale at CoCo Minneapolis in late October. While details are still being arranged, we have the next 2 meet ups to organize and ready ourselves to deliver a Drupal smack down at this upcoming event. Let's challenge Chris to prep us well.
Community Lab Hours 5-7PM
Don't forget we're holding Community Lab Hours from 5-7PM right before the meetup in the same location. Come work on Drupal, get some help with your questions, share your ideas, get some stuff done!
Door prize
Due to the great generosity of Chris Shattuck, we will be giving away a gift card for free access to the acclaimed Drupal online video learning library BuildAModule. Show up and put your name in the jar for the chance to win.
Socializing, networking, food, beverages
As always, pizza will be provided. Bringing beverages to share is encouraged. There will be plenty of time for food, drink, socializing and networking.

Backdrop - a Drupal fork
At last months TC Drupal User Group meeting the subject of a possible Drupal fork came up in an interesting discussion about the move towards Drupal 8 and some of its growing pains.
Today, I learned that this fork has happened. As far as I can tell, this has been official for about a week.
Two of the best know proponents of Backdrop (the new Drupal fork) were at our Drupal Camp in July. Makes me wonder what kind of discussions may have been going on at camp that I was unaware of. :-) (Nate Haug and Jen Lampton)

Does anyone have experience with PCI compliance for Drupal sites? I manage a Dreamhost Drupal site for a client that demands PCI compliance and I've hit a snag I need help with.
We've been passing SecurityMetrics scans consistently for several months. Suddenly, the scan is failing with dozens of issues that begin like, "Title: command injection in form_id parameter ..."
Can anyone help me figure out what this means? Is this something I can fix?
Many thanks!

I thought I'd share this with a group of people who might understand what I'm talking about.
Today, I had the drupal logo described to me (from someone who is new to drupal) as "the little blue monster/dolphin/world logo".
It took me a minute to figure out what they were talking about.
