To Panel or not to panel- that is the question
Hi everyone.
I wanted to know people's experience with Panel module and Panel 2 module.
I see you can use Panel 2 to theme input pages.
I am developing a site just using good ol' fashioned tpl.php files, views, and css.
What are the advantages to using Panels?
How much flexibility do you have to customize the panel?
What are the performance implications? It looks like a large module or set of modules.
Has anyone migrated their site to use panels?

Hi Everyone,
Other than the new theme I just proposed, I also would really like to learn more about Views Arguments.
This was of great interest to me when I was the Views argument session at the DrupalCamp Vancouver. However, I cannot wrap my head around it and I thought it would be a good subject to tackle if it's of interest to anyone else. I've got several applications that we can use as examples that would help several of my sites if that helps to get us going.
Please don't hesitate to comment if you have any other topics that you would like to tackle.
See you later!

Hi, I've just set up a couple of views for different users and roles. A couple of them are for CMs only but anonymous users are getting access. Has anyone encountered this before? We've got the particular roles set on the view/edit
Drupal 5.2... Node_access module.
Thanks!
Read moreGeorgia Podcast Network redesign is live!
We have finally gone live with our redesign of the Georgia Podcast Network! For a rundown of what's new from an end user standpoint, check out our announcement blog post.
GAPN is based on Drupal 5.7, and makes heavy use of the following modules: CCK, Views, Workflow-ng, FeedAPI, ImageCache, Usernode, Bio, Fivestar, and Voting API. That's not a full list, but the site leans on those the most.
Additionally, we built a custom theme and wrote several custom modules to get things working just the way we wanted them to. In writing these modules, we built custom Drupal integration for getID3, SWFUpload, and the JW Media Player.
Hope you like the site! I'll be happy to answer any "how did you do that?" questions if you have them.

Any chance of rolling a new release for Drupal 5? I know everyone's excited about Views 2, but the last release (1.6) was last July, and I've run into some bugs that do have patches sitting out there... I've got a client that's uncomfortable going into production with Views 1.6 + CVS + uncommitted patches...
Thanks.

Men ändå? Är jag helt galen?

I think the way information is presented and search results are displayed can be optionally enhanced. This somewhat related to the following discussions, however a new idea

Moved to official ideas list at http://drupal.org/node/236453
The idea is to make a new type of view (for views module, of course), the Chart View.
And to make the chart the student can use http://teethgrinder.co.uk/open-flash-chart/index.php
Read morePassing Arguments to views inside panel
Hi There
I have been using panles 2 beta 2, with views 1.6
I want to be able to pass the panel page argument to the views inside the panel ,
I have read all the documentation here, but can't make this happen, any help will be appreciated.
I have a content type call event (with a date field called date_start)
I have set up a view called events that accept the date_start as an argument, (it's the second argument , the first is termid, and the third is RSS: RSS Feed Selector)
the view has argument code that set up the default value
