Using a theme other than the default in OpenPublish 1.7.1
Hello,
Read moreTypical Theming Tasks?
A lot of questions about OpenPublish involve: "How do I do this in theme" type help requests. To make things easier, we are working on the cleanup and improvements to the OpenPublish theme. As part of this cycle, we are also trying to create an OP Theming Guide/documentation. The two efforts actually help improve each other. When we try to explain how things work, we often find a better way to do something and as we fix things in the theme layer, we remember to document the trickiest parts.

Now that I have gone deeper into OP 1.7.1, I have come up with the following feature requests
About the blog nodes:
I saw that the node-blog.tpl.php has the codes to add main_image and main_image_credit. However, the relevant fields are not actually there in the default OP installation. Therefore, I've added those two CCK fields and was able to attach a main_image to the blog node (exactly similar to what we do with article nodes). However, I could not display the main_image_credit field on the blog-nodes.

I had this issue under the 1.7.1 Released discussion, but thought it better to bring it to its own discussion to reach a wider audience. As originally posted and the thread thereafter:
Read moreSubtheming with OpenPublish
Can someone provide sub-theme directions specific to OpenPublish? I'm getting nowhere trying to create a subtheme of the openpublish_theme. I keep getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function related_terms_links() in sites/all/modules/openpublish_core/theme_helpers/node-article.tpl.inc on line 54
I created a folder for my sub-theme, along with an .info file with the following contents:
name = "indy"
description = "subtheme of openpublish for independent online news sites."
core = 6.x
base theme = openpublish_theme
stylesheets[all][] = indy.css
Tao Styling
I've enabled Tao as a sub-theme of the default OP theme. However, when I view it, Tao brings up the default theme. How do I get Tao to use its own css settings, otherwise how do I edit the default theme via a subtheme?

I hope this error report will help debug the Tao theme. I'm looking for a good base to build an OP theme. Anyway, here is the error I get after selecting the Tao theme and trying to view the front page:
Call to undefined function related_terms_links() in /sites/all/modules/openpublish_core/theme_helpers/node-article.tpl.inc on line 54

Can someone point to themes that work with OP? I want something that is not as hard-coded as the default.
Read moreDate translation in openpublish
May be this question is not directly related to openpublish, but since I am considering to use OP for a non-english site, I am posting it here.
If I want to translate the date (months, numerals), do I need to hack the template files or there is any other way around. I know a little bit of php (through trial and error and by looking at existing php file). I tried to translate the months (Jan, Feb... etc) via translation module, but that does not translate the roman numerals.
Read moreTeaser break issue: teaser break mysteriously appearing at the top of my content. Messing up my teasers?
Greetings Drupalians,
For some reason, the teasers I am placing in my content are being ignored. I have a feeling that it's because somehow, there is a teaser break that is appearing at the top of all my stories.
If you go to this view (http://v2.litennismag.com/topics/Coaching) you will see only one of the articles actually is showing the teaser. Here you can see my original tag and the phantom tag that is being added (http://rookery5.aviary.com/storagev12/3029000/3029231_a03b_625x625.jpg).
Any ideas? Is it FCKEditor?
