organic groups

I've been coming to terms with organic groups for the past few months and feel like I'm trying to apply the wrong tool to for the job. One of the great, yet complicated, things about Drupal is that there are many ways to achieve the same result.

Personally I think Organic Groups has a lot to offer, but you can also go a long way down the wrong use case before opting for a more suitable choice.

One use case that I think we can all agree that if you want to create groups and create content that is only accessible to that group, then Organic Groups is your module.

Vereis, estoy tratando de configurar OG en Drupal 7 para hacer lo siguiente:
El superadministrador registra a un usuario y le dá un rol como "Administrador de grupo". Este administrador de grupo, puede a su vez, registrar a otros usuarios pero solo puede registrarlos dentro de su propio grupo, además esta operación debería ser automática.
Todos los grupos comparten el mismo tipo de contenidos, pero los usuarios y los contenidos publicados en un determinado grupo no deben ser visibles para los usuarios de otros grupos.
¿Como puede hacerse esto? ¿Alguna idea?

How does one go about having a different theme for each group? Groups should retain the same regions, however, need to have different headers, menus and backgrounds and only override different values than the base theme provides.

A site was installed using Drupal 7.8 and had Organic Groups, Delta and Context modules added along with an Omega theme.

Jag behöver en lista med innehåll som en användare kan editera tillhörande de gruppen han är med i via OG. Alltså både published och unpublished.

Personerna är inte "allmänna administratörer" utan de kan göra inlägga på de gruopper hon/han är med i.

Jag hittar inget filter i Views (v3) för OG-sidor.

Skulle helst slippa göra en manuell SQL fråga på detta då det borde redan finnas på något sätt.

I have these major problem with a clean install of open publish with organic groups installed.
somehow drupal 6 can't determine the group path and always build links with the original site base url.
I believe it has to do with spaces.

Has anyone encountered an issue like this?

Pues eso , he instalado un módulo que trabaja con OG llamado "Organic Groups Notifications" que trabaja junto a notifications. El problema es que si envío dentro del grupo un mensaje a tod@s los miembros del grupo , este mensaje NUNCA llega , ni por email ni a "private messages".
He revisado los logs y no veo ningún problema, y de hecho cuando pincho el botón enviar me dice que se ha enviado correctamente el mensaje a todos los miembros del grupo (lo he traducido más o menos):

Su mensaje ha sido enviado a todos los miembros de este grupo.
11 mensajes en cola para ser enviados.

Hola gente, ¿alguien sabe como se puede en Drupal 6 con organic groups crear grupos dentro de grupos?. Llevo tiempo trasteando con OG y Grade Book pero no consigo crear grupos dentro de otros grupos ya creados, creo que este módulo no lo permite por si solo.
¿Alguien sabe si con la combinación de otro módulo u otra solución se podría hacer esto?.

Addendum: Julia wants to add this video about Organic Groups and Panels, and the integration thereof.

I have a site that is based on Open Atrium and currently using solr for site search. I would like to be able to add organic group members to the search index so that I can search for users within a particular OG. I would appreciate suggestions on how best to approach this.

Solr is set up via the Chapter 3 open atrium features module here http://features.chapterthree.com/openatrium-apachesolr-search/1-0-0, which uses apachesolr, apachesolr_og, apachesolr_search, and apachesolr_nodeaccess. In addition, Open Atrium uses nodeprofile so users' profiles are already in the index.

What I have considered doing is adding users' profile nodes to the same groups that they belong to. This would then make them searchable by OG, however my concern is that I would like everyone to be able to search for users across all OGs, including private OGs, and this would result in permission issues.

I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
