Does anyone have Drupal on a Stick?

Over in the DrupalCampUK event planning thread started by Galooph, Richardcanoe mentioned:

"There are lots of Apache - MySQL - PHP implementations out there now for both windows & MacOS which are designed to be hosted on a USB stick.

Attendees could have a drupal on a stick as something to use at a DrupalCamp, but also to take away and play with. This would enable non tech users to get to grips wth the look and feel and test modules and settings.

List of attendees from singup module in a panel?

Hi,

I've been trying to get my head around getting signup into my panel-modified display of an event node.

Ideally i'd like to get both the signup form and the attendees into one of my panels but I can't figure out how it's done without support for panels from signup.

What's the best way to create an attendees list? Since they're not nodes, I can't create them through views and then feed them into my panels that way.

Am I missing something really basic?

Cheers,

James

Got a few questions again for you all

Hey everyone, so I'm making some serious headway on this page, and it's getting closer and closer to being largely complete with all the functionality that I want! Here are some of the issues I am currently facing and would appreciate some advice on.

  • Passing variables (arguments?) in the menu links? For example, I want to link to todays date in the event module for the week view. The working link is: /event/2008/10/12/week/all/17
  • How do I get a menu link to automatically place the month (10 above) and day (12 above)?

GCal Events - upcoming event list that pulls from google calendar

This module has been officially released. Please see the Drupal Project Page for most recent information! The released version is equivalent to version 1.0.9 as released in this thread.

Summary: A module which provides blocks which list the next few events on a google calendar.
Similar Projects: CCK/Views/Calendar, Event Calendar, Google Calendar Embed

    Motivations:
CCK/Views/Calendar does not (yet) provide compliant ical feeds, is difficult to set up, difficult to add/modify events

    Austin Meetings?

I was curious if there is anything going on Drupal-wise around the first week or so of August. I'm in Las Vegas but have a ton of friends in the Austin area and I'll be coming through there like August 6-8th-ish.. was wondering if there might be a meet-up in the works or something.

    Specified signup times

My appologises if this has already been discussed but I was wondering if there is a patch (or otherwise) which allows the signup schedule module to more exactly specify the opening and closing time than just midnight on the said day. And if there isn't I was hoping someone would be willing to create said patch as I think it would be very useful for event signups to give more control over the signup period.

    When is the next meeting?

    Hello,

I have only been a member of this group for about a week. So I apologize if I missed my answer somewhere on this site.

When is the next meeting? I would like to get together with other drupal beginners and experts to discuss setting up a drupal site. Being new to drupal, I installed 5.7 and have been playing around with the basic core features. But where to go from there is the question. Also there are parts of drupal I don't really understand - taxonomy, cck, views, setting up the administrative side of things. Did I say I was new to drupal? :)
