Montreal DrupalCamp 2009 - October 17-18
Just wanted to let all the surrounding areas know that if you're looking for a DrupalCamp that's only a few hours away, we have one waiting at DrupalCamp Montreal 2009: The Education Edition. It's taking place at McGill University on October 17th-18th. We're happy to say that Webchick will be presenting a session or two! We have over 80 attendees already registered and are growing at nearly 10 sign-ups per day!

September Meetup
On September 15th at 6:30 PM we'll be having our next meetup at the new Zivtech office. We'll be doing a show-and-tell style meetup where attendees can share tips and tricks and work they have been doing recently.
Are there any particular topics people would like to have covered/cover? Do we want to pick a theme for the discussion?
I wouldn't mind presenting on the way we handle deployment and updates and hearing how others are handling the issue.

Philly Core Patch Day
Thursday May 7th at Zivtech, 1511 South Street., Philadelphia.
Core Patching Fest: This is a day/evening for Drupal developers and site builders who want to start helping in the core issue queue, for experienced contributors who would like to help novice patchers and get their patches reviewed, and just for everyone in our area who wants to take some time to help make a better Drupal 7 or become a better Drupal contributor and coder.

Two ideas for upcoming meetups we could host at Zivtech (1511 South St). Both would be bring your laptop hands on meetups.
Drupal Install Fest
People who would like to try Drupal for the first time could come and get help from Drupal developers on the basics of setting up LAMP on their laptops and installing Drupal. If we get more experienced people than beginners we could always split into a second meeting next door at the bar.

February Drupal Meetup: 2/18/09
Hey everyone, time for a Drupal Group meetup. We need a date, a location, a topic, and optionally, presenters.
I'll start with the date -- mid February. The 18th. Howzat sound?
Next we need a location. We could always do a social, like National Mechanics or Triumph, but people have been asking about doing something with more content, more show and tell and sharing of ideas, so a quieter place would be in order.
Anyone want a ride to DrupalCamp NYC?
If anyone is planning on attending DrupalCamp NYC, a week from Saturday, and would like a ride up to the Rotten Apple, I'm driving up on Saturday AM and will have some space in my ride. Anyone interested?
