IT business management software

Does anyone have any suggestions for business management software that's specifically designed for running an IT services business?

Functionality should include integrated:
- CRM
- Project/contract administration
- Tickets
- Time tracking
- Management reporting
- Billing
- perhaps quoting, PM, sales

I'm thinking cloud-based products like Autotask but it would be interesting to hear what people out there are using.

Professional indemnity insurance for Web professionals?

Hello everyone,

I'm working through a number of semi-gov agency procurement processes (from the agency side of the fence), and have been surprised by how adamantly the procurement dept. is demanding copies of currency certification for vendors professional indemnity insurance.
In one specific case, this is being demanded from a software vendor who is simply providing a pay-as-you-go SaaS product with T&C that state support and uptime is best endeavours.

Social Networking Examples

Hello,

Has anyone seen good example's of social networking integration on a drupal site?

I am looking at putting Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin on my site and wondering which modules to use. I am hoping to research a few sites that are doing this.

Any suggestions on modules?

Aim: I am looking to start a simple blog on my site and would like Twitter, Facebook and linkedin to broadcast a summary of the blog. I would also like to put Twitter on the website with a view to showing my tweets (not that I have many at all right now), and maybe the tweets of those I follow?

Hosting

Hi all

I am looking for a new hosting option and currently investigating Acquia and Rackspace. Rackspace is much cheaper (actually less than 10% of the cost of Acquia) but Acquia is optimised for Drupal.

All I really need is PHP5.3 with the usual extensions enabled for Drupal, and MySQL of course. I would like the option to run multiple sites/domains on the server, so I can move all my sites from my current shared solution to the new server. drush would be a useful feature to have on the server although not essential.

WYSIWYG on the summary field

Hi

I've posted this question in the forums and on the IRC but no one has responded so I'll give the the groups a go.

I need to know how I can get the WYSIWYG editor to work with the summary field. I cant seem to find a way to get the summary field to work with a WYSIWYG editor.

At the moment to get what I need I have to create extra blocks to act as teasers. This approach is causing bloat but I need different teasers than the body of an article or other content type and the teasers need to be properly formatted.

Generate a hardcopy newsletter

Hello, I need to generate a hardcopy newsletter from web content.
I'm working with a Primary School - first revamp of their website in nearly a decade.
We are already making some significant cultural changes, and expect some big efficiency wins in communication processes.
However - not every family at the school is going to be able/willing to access the regular school newsletter online (or via email), and there is a need to not disenfranchise the internet-challenged.... and continue a limited run of the traditional hardcopy newsletter.

Sessions for anonymous users

Hi all

I am having some difficulty with the site at http://iwda.asia. It seems sessions aren't being initialised/started/created for anonymous users, which means when someone registers on the site the message they should see, such as "You have been sent an email", etc., doesn't appear, because those messages are stored in the session.
