This discussion is follow on to the Pune Drupal developers meetup we had last Saturday (26 Dec 2009). We had a bit of confusion about which Drupal.org group we should use.
I believe many of us were not aware that there are two Pune groups in drupal.org.
Here is more info about the two Pune groups for Pune Drupal developers in drupal.org

Indymedia Portugal (http://pt.indymedia.org) was launched on the last November 30th, marking the 10th anniversary of Indymedia and of the Seattle protests.
This was, in fact, a relaunch. The old website (Mir) went offline around 2 years ago and the editorial collective had no longer enough dynamic to run the process. A new collective formed recently and decided to relaunch the website. Drupal was the chosen platform :)
The theme is a Zen subtheme, called indyactivist, which we will contribute after properly cleaning the code.

Hi,
We're using Drupal for our corporate website, and we're thinking about using Open Atrium for our Intranet. I want to streamline our processes and avoid double entry as much as possible.
These are the use cases:
- Our corporate website has login / pass fields in which our partners or employees can login. If our partners or employees login, then they are routed to Open Atrium.
Zoom on markers and create sidebar/Block with categories
Hi all, Im new to the group, hope you are all well!
I have been switching a site that i have been working on into using Drupal rather than my own fully coded site. So far its all going well and just recently i discovered that Drupal also has support for Google Map API. This is great news as i already have the google api working on my site as i want it so if i can get the Gmap and location modules to acheive what i already have that should almost complete the site and i can go LIVE!

Jeff at Greenopolis.com (combine for email) sent me the following message:
I'm looking for a Drupal webmaster in Houston to join our team. Can you let the Houston Drupal community know about this or refer anyone to me?
This is a true webmaster position, there will be no dev work...but the person who's hired will be the main point of contact between our dev team and our content team.
If anyone has a lead for Jeff, please contact him at the combined address above. Jeff should also look at this thread for ideas. I hope to meet Jeff at one of our Drupal meet ups.
Read moreDrupal 6 and mysql persistent connections
Hello.
I've created mysq version of database.mysql.inc to correctly work with mysql_pconnect to make available persistent connections.
The main problems were table locks and temporary tables - I've solved it using register_shutdown_function() for script.
Now looks like all working properly.(one project runs using this patched version)
But this patch is for case site using one database only. File is attached.
