Show different panels to logged in and anonymous users

I'm struggling with creating a panel layout for my site homepage.

What I want to do is display different content depending on whether the user is logged in or anonymous. The logged in user will see recent content, plus a small control panel to help them get started publishing blog entries, etc. The anonymous user will see an invitation to join the community, plus some recent content blocks underneath in case they want to browse the site.

Theme uploads via the admin UI

Hi,

I found this group post which petered out seemingly without any resolution:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/9552

One of my clients is interested in the idea of being able to upload themes via the admin UI so they can build their own themes and deploy them, safely, without the need for FTP/SSH access to the server (and the burden of knowledge such access requires).

Is there anything like this already? I'm thinking such a module could be Drupal 6.x contrib and simply provide:

 • a permission for theme uploads

Combined Melbourne PHP-Drupal Bowling Meetup

Hey everyone!

I was inspired to organise a social event for next month, and this is what I came up with:

<?php
$group1
= "phpMelb";
$group2 = "Melbourne Drupal";
$idea = "A combined $group1 & $group2 bowling meetup!";
echo
$idea;
?>

I am thinking around Saturday 5th of December, before people start going on holidays and so on. We can meet at the bowling alley at the top of Melbourne Central, next to the Lion and also near the Hoyts ticket office. We'll get some pizzas there while we play, say, 2 games each, and then we can go the Lion for a few beers afterwards.

Jamaican Library Group wants training in Drupal

Greetings Drupal users,

I attended a Library technology Conference in Canada over 2 days. The conference is dubbed “Access” 2009 conference – a library technology conference focused on access issues and the technologies that provide access to information. From that conference, I realized that there are so many Canadian libraries using Drupal and doing really cool stuff with it.

I happen to be the chair of the Library and Information Association of Jamaica. We want to update our Website: http://www.liaja.org.jm/ using Drupal.

Well priced training 6mnths-year

Hi South Africa,

I have a question, does anyone know of any companies that are offering a mixed bag of training options that would fit in well with someone going the php opensource direction of web design, something that will be well rounded, basic to advanced and not prohibitively expensive. well rounded being the operative word.

Mudanza Xoops a Drupal y Carpeta Temporal

Saludos:
