Thunder, Lightning and DX8
Hey,
Now D8 is is much better shape than it was at launch, is there any value to using Lightning any more? (Or Thunder for that matter?)
On the one hand, it seems time might be saved by working with a distro, so your initial set up costs are less, but do you lose those benefits over time because the distro takes longer to update - or is more prone to having critical security issues patched because it takes a while for the distro updates to be released?
It'd be useful to know if there are any time benefits to using a distro.

Hi all,
Hope you're all well. Been a while since I posted here. Have a question and I wonder if anyone can help please. I'm helping a large charity choose a CMS to re-platform on to. Drupal 8 is a possible candidate, but some of the stakeholders there have concerns over Drupal 8 to 9, thinking that it could be like 7 to 8.

'Tis the season for a very special Brighton Drupal Christmas Pub Meetup! Put on a silly jumper (or don't) and make sure you don't eat all day, so we can gorge ourselves on yet another roast dinner. Oh, we'll probably have a few drinks and talk about Drupal a bit, too.
Since you're probably already having multiple roasts this December, I noticed that the pub at the end of my street, The Signalman, is putting their own spin on a Christmas dinner, so the menu is a bit different. I've eaten there a few times and it's very tasty.

I'm thinking of not scheduling the pub meetup for tomorrow then picking things back up in February. I've got a friend in town for a couple of days, and since it's January and some people weirdly avoid pubs this month, I'm wondering if it's worth doing?
Please let me know! Or if you really want to do it feel free to create the event. Of course this is last minute, but hey, is there any other way?
