北京Drupal沙龙的QQ网友群也在讨论缺少中文学习材料的问题。真正有效的中文教材和参考确实少。这大概跟经济效益和社会效益有关。
Pro Drupal Development是我至今看到的最有用、最实用的一本书。既可用作入门教材，又可用作平时使用Drupal时的参考。老葛翻译过这本书。翻译得不错。但是也许因为我没有英文障碍，总是觉得这类书的翻译本很难读。读过了这本书的原文，当我很自然地把内容讲给新手和网友时，大家都觉得很容易接受，学习效果也很好。所以想出了“导读”，就是按每个章节的内容，做这种中文自然的“讲述”。也许在讨论和沟通中，能够更有效地学习Drupal。
这是一种尝试，有兴趣的初学者、新手可以看看这个【Pro Drupal Development 导读】。

Also I learned how to contribute back to the community even though I am not a drupal expert(I am a little over 4 months since discovering drupal).

Drupal meetup, compared to Drupal Happy hour, is more structured. Please see the agenda for the coming meetup. Going forward, we will host the meetup on the second Wednesday evening of every month.

又到了一年骄阳似火的盛夏时节，看到最近Drupal group里各位中文社区的Drupaller的激烈讨论，看到了大家对Drupal在中文社区寄予了无限期望，我也感慨良多，在此也回顾一下自己的Drupal之路以及未来的一些愿望。

Growing Drupal Downunder - Announcing DrupalCon Sydney, 6-9 Feb 2013

必须承认Drupal部分默认界面并不友好，而且不符合中国用户习惯（和Discuz很不一样），但是也有很多独特的设计。我详细大多数Drupaler们不会因为避免适应新的系统而放弃加入到世界最大的开源社区中来的。

个人的意见：
- 不属于单个人，最好有个社区管理委员会；
- 不商业化，但可找赞助维持运营；
- 交流互动主要形式为论坛形式，带奖励机制，可以为发贴奖励也可以为解决问题版主奖励；
- 应该将国外有意义消息的翻译作为一个板块；
- 尊重版权，注重和鼓励Drupal在国内的商业探索。
制约Drupal在中国流行的几大因素
Drupal在国外已经火了好多年了，然而在中国的状态一直不冷不热。
记得我最初了解Drupal，是通过在Google搜索“best open source cms”（最好的开源CMS）之类的关键词。那时Drupal在国内流行程度还不是很高，也没有几个像样的Drupal网站可供膜拜。
现如今，随着一些公司和Drupal爱好者的推动，Drupal在国内也慢慢有了一些知名度，Drupal从业者和爱好者的数量与日俱增，优秀的Drupal人才和高质量的Drupal站点也在逐渐增加。然而，Drupal在国内的流行程度、应用领域都还远远不如国外，这不得不让人思索——做为世界上最优秀的CMS，为何Drupal在中国的影响力还没得到突破？
