Palm Beach May Meetup
Hello to all drupal enthusiasts in Palm Beach county! Our next meeting will be on May 18, 2010 at 7:30 P.M.. John Studdard of Big Couch Media will be presenting this month. Return Node Title for use in Views Argument
What would be the simplest way to pass the Node Title to a view that is going to use that title as part of an argument? I only want the view to return an image that is part of that particular node. Right now all of the node images are showing up.
If I provide the default argument, can I use the [title] field that I am using when I rewrite the output or is there a php variable that I need to use?

May Tallahassee Drupal Meetup
As always anyone and everyone is welcome to the meetup. We will have a presentation on Access Control by James Tillman focusing on the various content access controls available in Drupal. Marc Ray (aka: me) will do a short introduction to the Migrate and Feeds module for migration of data into Drupal. Additionally there will be time for questions and answers to pick the brains of your peers. We will have some light refreshments and our mascot Stella will be in attendance.

May Central Florida Meetup

The Miami Drupal Group will meet at the office of John S. and James L. Knight Foundation on May 26th.

I created a view to display the node title, image and teaser. Each node of that type also has a taxonomy term associated with it. I have the view working correctly in that every node of the type that is published shows up and is displayed. What I would like to do is have a main page for each taxonomy term and have only the nodes that were tagged with that term show up.
Do I need to clone the view for each term? So far I have tried to get the view to filter based on the taxonomy term but I am not sure how to get it to pull the term from the node that it is on.
What do you guys suggest?

Our first meeting went very well. We had nine attendees.
Sean discussed the intricacies of getting legacy applications to work with Drupal, and then we had a discussion about what we would like to see going forward.
Among these were:
- A session on Theming
- A session on Git
- A session on Cloud and High Volume hosting
- A session where several members present projects they are working on
- A session about which modules NOT to use and why
There were several other ideas posted as well. Thanks to all who attended.

I created a view that works fine. It displays the image attached to the node, the title and the teaser. Sweet. But when I try to get that same view to display in a slideshow, nothing happens.
It still shows up in a list.
Now I am getting the feeling that I am probably missing a jQuery file in the appropriate place. Has anyone had a similar problem when trying to get Views Slideshow or Views Showcase working?

I had a Windows Netbook (ASUS eeePC with 2MB) atFlorida Drupal Camp. Like many other participants with similar equipment, I could not install Acquia Drupal. Acquia's stack still hangs up and will not install on my machine. That's a mystery. However, I had success with the WAMP stack from http://www.wampserver.com and a download of Drupal. I followed the instructions from http://learnbythedrop.com/drop/95 and it went well. I had to change default download version of PHP to get the exif module to work, but that's easy to do with that WAMP stack.
