Feed for new groups
Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but is there a feed for the most recent/new groups on the site? I subscribed to the main groups feed (http://groups.drupal.org/og/all/feed,) but that just listed all the groups, not the newest ones listed in reverse chronological order.
Thanks,
Chris
What does g.d.o use for its members to post events?
In taking a look at the contributed Event module, I noticed that its latest release is 4.7.x-1.x-dev. I also noticed that g.d.o's About page does not list the Event module.
What does g.d.o use for its members to post events? If it does use the Event module, how is that possible since g.d.o runs on 5.x and the Event module is still 4.7.x?
Thanks,
Walt

Bloglines + myunread = No feeds were found
Has anyone had any success getting bloglines to read the myunread feed (or any of the personalized tracker feeds)? I understand authentication is needed, and I have tried the form:
http://myaccount:mypass@groups.drupal.org/group/myunread/feed
but no luck. It just says "No feeds were found. Please verify that the website publishes an RSS feed."

The My Unread page/feed are cool, but I might be subscribed to a number of groups and only want to see updates for specific ones. Is this possible?
Sorry if this is already posted somewhere.

Read moreCongrats to groups.drupal.org as it surpasses 10,000 group subscriptions!
As of today, g.d.o now has 10,385 group subscriptions! Surpassing 10,000 is, in my opinion, an important milestone that warrants a note of congratulations!
g.d.o will, in my opinion, continue to grow and improve. Thanks to everyone who has helped make it the incredibly useful and productive community that it is. I'm proud and happy to be a part of it. A particular note of thanks goes, of course, to Moshe.

I'm looking to try to replicate a bit of what is done here at groups.drupal.org. That bit that I wish to replicate is the display on the post that reads: group: group name and whether private or public. Any advice to how to accomplish this, which variables are used, etc, would be of great help.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right group for this but I thought I would ask. My friend is creating a community site for me right now with Drupal and we are integrating organic groups. I want to have users post topics and comments (very much like how this group is laid out) in a clean format. Right now the only way to do it on our site is as a blog post or forum post.

There has been some recent work analyzing the growth on drupal.org, and I think we should do something similar for groups.drupal.org.
I would be interested in charts/histograms showing the distribution of:
- Groups by number of subscribers
- Groups by posts/week in the past three months
- Users by number of subscriptions (without identifying information)
- Users by number of posts (without identifying information)
- Users by number of posts (without identifying information)
- Total posts over time
- Total posts per week over time
- Total groups over time
- New groups per week over time
- Median subscriptions per user over time
Did I forget anything or should some of these be removed/tweaked? I am willing to generate the charts if someone can run the queries, and I can figure out the exact sql queries if needed.

If one visits this page, one can see that Michelle has added [Comment incorporated] to many of the comments in order to incorporate comments into her "Contrib modules version 5.x status" table.
I'd like to basically do the same thing and add [Comment incorporated] to comments that maintainers and developers add to Reverse Bounty Status of Projects Needing Financing in order to keep my table on that page updated. For example, I want to add [Comment incorporated] to the bottom of Classified Ads status. How do I do this? Thanks in advance!

Just fyi... drupal IE "no login" bug has struck me on groups.drupal.org
Not sure if this is the right place to post this [is "casetracker" a better place?]
First, thanks Moshe and everyone else for setting up this group site. It's frankly, amazing.
Just wanted to let you know that the infamous drupal login bug [where you can't login to a site when you're on IE] has struck me for groups.drupal.org.
http://drupal.org/node/83822
http://drupal.org/node/6696
Basically, when I submit my login in IE, it doesn't "take". It just returns me to the original page without being logged in. However, it works fine for me in Firefox.
I've had a couple of users say the same thing about the site that I host, personally. (www.ithou.org)... so this isn't so much a groups.drupal.org thing as it is (I think) a drupal thing. But... it's here. :-( At least for me.

I noticed that on drupal.org's "my account" info under the "Personal information" tab, there is a "Country" drop-down menu where I was able to specify my country.
It would be great to "poll" the groups.drupal.org community to see what it would like added to groups.drupal.org's "my account" profile tabs.
So if some admin would create the functionality that would be wonderful.

Read moreHow do I set up "groups" on my web site?
Hi all,
I want to set up group subscriptions at subdomain groups.mysite.com while allowing the main part of my web site to offer basic info about my organization at mysite.com. A perfect example is groups.drupal.org and drupal.org.
So, I visited groups.drupal.org's About this site page and, under "Code", read that the groups.drupal.org site "runs a Drupal 4.7".
- Does this mean that groups.drupal.org has a separate Drupal 4.7 installation from drupal.org? In other words, do I need two (2) uploads of Drupal 4.7 to my web server, that is, one 4.7 installation for OG running at subdomain groups.mysite.com and another 4.7 installation for the main site mysite.com?
