There's now an official Haitian Creole translation effort at http://localize.drupal.org/translate/languages/ht

We have one site who is starting work on the translation - the more people we can get involved, the quicker it will go. If you're involved with a site and are (or know somebody who is) interested in contributing to a Haitian Creole translation, please get involved. The Localization Client module (http://drupal.org/project/l10n_client) makes it drop-dead easy (no, seriously) to get involved and contribute.

This is a crummy tutorial. However, in my defense I did spend the last 2 hours putting it together and countless hours trying to figure these modules to do it in the first place. It is probably for the intermediate to advanced Drupal user, mostly because I'm sure there are some mistakes in it, some intermediary steps missing and I didn't make it very elegant.

O.K., new problem. :-)

I'm setting up the drupal install for the intranet. I thought I checked everything, but I get this error at the verify requirements page:

Your web server does not appear to support any common database types. Check with your hosting provider to see if they offer any databases that Drupal supports.

It's really just annoying at this point, because a page refresh makes the error page go away :-)

Still I am wondering what else I can do. The errors have been occurring as I enable modules and click the "save configuration" button. They start out:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted

And end with something like

***/includes/database.mysqli.inc on line 162

(the error changes each time...don't know why)

I have edited the .htaccess file in drupal root to include:

php_value memory_limit 32M

The php configuration on the server says
