Did you miss Drupalcon? If so roll to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor (Directions, parking is plentiful in the neighborhoods, but be sure to check the signs) for a brief recap. I will be sharing my notes from attending a mix of themer/coder sessions. Any other Drupalcon attendees are welcome to come out and share their notes in a brief lighting talk format.
Also, I will be covering porting themes from 6 to a minimum viable theme for 7. Beginners are always welcome, but to get the most out of this meet up it will be best if you know HTML, CSS, and are ok with copy and pasting basic PHP. If there are any theme maintainers that need help getting a D7 release of their theme post a comment, otherwise I will just find a theme on Drupal.org that needs some attention.

Thank you!
Thanks ishmael, I have been looking for exactly that!

Awesome, finally a Valley get together that I can make it to.
You're the ish! ;)
A huge thanks to both you & Ninjitsu for putting this together, Ishmael! That's some top-notch info you're sharing there so it should make for a great meetup.
Is there a rough number of attendees that Ninjitsu would consider to be a successful event? I ask cuz a SFV valley meetup is awesome & is something that'd be great to see on a monthly basis, going-forward. Not trying to "put the cart before the horse," just excited about it.

I'm far, but what the heck, I'll make it out if I can. Maybe some of your Drupalcon superpowers will rub off on me. Like radiation, but safer and more awesome.

Hi Ishmael,
I didn't make it to Drupalcon, and it sounds like you've got just the kind of notes I'd like to see, so I'll be there.
Thank you for hosting this event.
Oh, and I posted our Drupal job opening here:

Great First Meeting
Ishmael,
It was a great first meeting. Your walking us through moving a theme from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 was good and well timed. Steve's lightning talk was interesting.
Thank you for organizing it.

Thanks Paul for the vote of confidence and to Steve for the great lightning talk. We will keep this group going.

I second that last night's meetup had all the wonderful ingredients that keep all of us attending such meetings all throughout the LA area. I myself love to attend different venues and meet new people with different perspectives but it was nice to have a meetup next to home.
Thank you for our hosts Ishmael and Matt for opening their space and Steve for the views edit lighting talk!

Column Editing as well as row editing
Steve,
One of the applications I worked on in C++ and X-windows required the ability to edit either a row or a column, while you're thinking about how to group the fields for a row edit, you may want to consider column edits as well.
