Car pooling and lodging for Bay Area Camp Oct 11 & 12 ?

Hello,

just wondering if there's a discussion already started about getting to Berkley from Los Angeles and the lodging there.

Does anyone want to carpool ? How about staying there --- does anyone to share room.

There are a bunch of hotels in area http://maps.google.com/maps?near=Hearst+Mining+Cir,+Berkeley,+CA+94720&g...

Any favorites ?

If I can go up, I may want to carpool. Anyone else planning to head up via automobile or similar transportation.

I've heard the train is a combo bus-train ride that's 12-14 hours! So, that's not for me.

I'll be coming from Santa Cruz, and if anyone wants to carpool I'm up for either picking people up if anyone lives along the way, or jumping into someone else's car...
