Some of you may already know me from the amount I ramble (typically at the Culver City and Downtown Drupal meetups). My aim is to try and create a group that is closer to home and while I am more than happy to be the organizer for the group, it would be great if others in the SCV area might be more inclined to also organize the group be it in the form of being a contact person or as a meetup organizer.

I'm down
I'm totally down to co-organize. I'm shocked that we already have 13 members. I didn't realize the SCV was rocking this many Drupalers. I actually work in Culver City so I go to some of the Downtown and CC meetups but it would be awesome if we can start doing some closer to SCV.
I can already think of a few spaces where we might be able to finagle some meeting spaces. I think we should maybe set up a meetup at a sbux/library or something to gauge interest levels.
I've helped with some organizing when I was a part of the Raleigh group, and am more then happy to spearhead as much speaking/training talks as are needed.

Done!
You are now a co-maintainer of the group :) And yes, we should do that. @bvirtual had suggested having a drupal cafe (something very casual that whoever is organizing is there for some time while others can just drop in even if for just 5 mins to get acquainted.
Very happy to see this new
Very happy to see this new group spring up! While I wouldn't be a good candidate to co-organize this grp since I'm so far away, I am totally willing to cruise up via carpool w/other LA Drupaleros to show our support. However, anything else that I can do to help/support, holler!
