Let's Launch! - work session for startups at the Santa Monica Library

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a startup, built on Drupal of course. A few weeks back, while listening to a startup podcast for developers, the concept of a "build off" was introduced. The concept is that the chances of successfully launching your product are highly increased when you have support from fellow developers pushing and encouraging one another in a real face to face environment. More specifically, the concept is to take a day, gather developers together, all working on their own respective projects, and spend a solid 5-10 hours hammering away at your startup project. Fore entrepreneurs who have participated, it's made all the difference.

Therefore I am creating this event with the same spirit of gathering a bunch of passionate Drupalers together one Sunday morning to afternoon at the Santa Monica library to meet, assist, and push one another as we work on our respective projects. While it does not have to be your own startup that you are working on necessarily, the project should be one in which you're passionate enough to need the support of your fellow Drupalers to motivate you to the end. For those of you that are working on startups built in Drupal, please join us!

Note: this will be a true work session vs. a more social and discussion type of event. Bring your laptop and be prepared to dig in.

I'll try to find a large table that morning at the library with outlets for a group of us to work. Come anytime, but best to come early and stay as long as you can - this is about motivation not just convenience - it's about buckling down to create results.
