Edit: Due to holiday, we're meetng Tuesday. Come contribute! The 4th Monday last Tuesday in Long Beach we have meetups ... (usually the 4th Monday to coincide with core office hours).
Join us in Long Beach or meet us online in our google+ hangout. The first few meetups have been fantastic! During each we've contributed patches and/or helped to give back. Want to help? There truly is something for everyone to do.

ha! really? quite a drive for you... but be nice if you make it! if you do come, and happen to come early, ping me... I'm sure I'll be local.
not to dissuade you, but keep in mind the 405 south from west-side to long beach in the evenings can be nightmarish before 7p. heck, I think anything leading to long beach in the evenings can be rough.

My friend Rob and I are in LA passing through this week and thought we'd come hang out.

I should have responded earlier that the drive would be long (I didn't realize it was over 60 miles to get down) due to traffic. But I am online and ready to beat up the issue queue :D
