Are you interested in helping to spread the word about Drupal? we need your help! SCaLE 8x is coming and LA Drupal is hosting a booth! SCALE 8x, the premier Open Source Community conference in the South Western United States, returns to the Westin LAX Hotel, site of the 6th-7tx Expo!
come share, learn, network, and g33k out with other Drupal and Open Source fans. if you're interested in open source (beyond Drupal), this is a great opportunity to learn from others and to share what you know about Drupal.
- if you'd like to volunteer to help spread the word about Drupal and the open source revolution, this is where the party is.
- if you've already posted to volunteer in a previous post, please verify I captured that info (below).
following are some of the planning details, and at the moment this post is a skeleton; but it is a wiki, please treat it as such ;-)
Conference & Booth Info
information about booth location, prizes, etc
- we need a projector - Peter Benjamin is supplying his.
- we need raffle material - Chris Charlton is supplying three (3) one month passes to Lynda.com. We can hit up the publishers present for a Drupal book or two as a prize.
- Booth Schedule: 10am-6pm (Saturday) and 10:30-5:30p (Sunday)
- SCaLE Schedule - including EmmaJane - co-author of Front End Drupal
- SCaLE 8x Banners, Buttons, and Flyers
- SCaLE 8x audio promo: mp3
- please bring a prepared laptop to demo, if you can

things that need to happen in order for us to have fun & be cool when promoting drupal
- daily - marketing. promote the booth. prior to SCaLE 8x promote what we're doing to help raise general awareness.
- promote Ride The Party bus to Drupalcon SF

- promote Long Beach Drupal meetup group - first meeting in March in Zaso creative district of Long Beach

LA Drupal is hosting BOOTH #: 14 - at far end of first row. walk in the ballroom and go right.
10:00am - 6pm Sat / 11am - 5:30p Sun
registration is near the lobby at the Westin. There will be signage.
parking costs $14/day.
