Who

Calling all Central Texas Drupalers! Meetups are very informal and Drupal users of all levels - new users to expert users - are encouraged to attend and participate. Be sure to introduce yourself to the group.

What

It's time for another Austin Drupal Users Group Meetup! Thanks to Ben and SpryDev for providing us a place to meet. Ben will discuss SEO, a topic most of us will most definitely benefit from. Also, our meetups provide an opportunity, time permitting, for folks to volunteer and showcase their Drupal-powered web sites. So if you'd like to spend 10-15 minutes walking us through your web site, meetups are a good opportunity for you to do so. A benefit from showcasing your web site is that you'll probably receive some helpful advice and constructive criticism along with questions that might help you see things in a new way.

When

Tuesday, October 2nd. 7-9 pm.

Where

SpryDev. For directions, please visit http://www.sprydev.com/directions.

Why

The Austin DUG wants YOUR participation and your fellow Drupalers want to meet you, make new friends/professional contacts, and learn about how you're using Drupal.

Sign up by adding your "Yes, I'll be there" comment below. It is courteous and helps in planning purposes by letting both the host and the venue know how many folks will be attending.

A BIG THANKS to Ben!

Just a short note of thanks to Ben for basically single-handedly putting on our October Austin Meetup.

Great job on leading us through the meeting in general as well as providing lots of excellent knowledge on SEO and Drupal. I'm sure everyone that attended appreciates your efforts.

And of course thanks for hosting.

wiki pages & browser support

matt v.'s picture

Here are a couple of links that I mentioned last night.

First, on the topic of wiki pages, there is a Wiki installation profile that lists all the modules it employs to provide wiki functionality. I don't know if they're the same modules being used by groups.drupal.org though.

The Yahoo Developer Network is a great all-around resource. The Graded Browser Support page explains Yahoo's strategy for supporting various browsers. It's a good starting point for thinking about how to approach browser testing.
