User group meeting
The last Pasadena meetup was great so let's do it again.
Bring your laptops, work, and questions...we have a few desks, a couch, lots of floor space, a large Drupal library and fast WiFi. There are plenty of restaurants to order from or to go to afterward. Good for a medium sized group. People are more than welcome to stay longer if they like.
Address -
1 S Fair Oaks suite 201
Pasadena, CA 91101

Can't make it!
Hey Scott -
Thanks for organizing this - was so great last time. I'll be up in San Francisco the first two weeks of August so, won't be able to make this one. Maybe next time.

Thanks for organizing!
Glad you're organizing this again, Scott, as I missed out last time but won't this time. Tonight's LA Drupal meetup was jam-packed with goodness so there wasn't any time for the lightning talks, much less any community announcements so couldn't mention this to the masses.
As I'm heading up the San Gabriel Valley Linux User Group website redesign, & we meet at CalTech, gonna invite the other team members to come & work on it.
Question tho: Do we do street parking or is there parking at that address?

Parking
There are a couple options... street parking is 75 cents an hour and free after 8pm. If people want, we can move the time back to 8pm to avoid any hassles with the meters. E Dayton St is a good place to find street parking, it is a block and a half south of the office. There is also a parking garage across the street. The first hour and a half is free and $2 an hour after that (maximum of $6 for those who wish to stay longer).
Public Transport - there is a very convenient bus stop right outside the front door if people are interested in taking the bus. Also, if you wish to take the gold line, it is a 4-5 block walk from the Del Mar station.
Hope this was helpful.

On the Road
I will be gone most of the month of August. I was at the first meet up and I want to continue building this local group. So while I can't attend this month I will be anxious to be part of any future meet ups and offer any assistance that I can give to make this a continuing endeavor. Pasadena in general seems like a good location for this. Street parking can be tough to find but there is a $5.00 parking lot just a little south of the location. Thanks for your efforts and don't hesitate to ask for contributions of any nature from the rest of us so that the long term success of this fledging group doesn't fall completely on your shoulders.
Old Town Pasadena Meetup Reminder
Just a reminder, the Pasadena meetup/study group is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm. For those who haven't been to one, this is a great place to work on your projects, find answers to your drupal questions and to meet other Drupalites in the area.
The address is 1 S Fair Oaks, Pasadena suite 201. In case I'm not at the door the pass code to get in is #9869. For parking- view the post above.
See you tomorrow

Group Reminder
How did I miss this meetup when this was going on? Is there an e-mail reminder going out for this kind of things? Where do I sign up?
subscribing to the group
subscribing to the group sends you email for the updates; it can be a bit overwhelming at times however. there may be a way to filter it.

Monday Mostly Works for Me
My wife teaches a class on Monday nights and that leaves me with my 11 year old daughter in tow. If she can tag along and read a book in the corner (which she is more than content to do) than Mondays work well for me. Monday is my only day without possible scheduling conflicts with that one caveat.
Ah, darn; Monday evenings
Ah, darn; Monday evenings won't work for me for a while...November and December are out for sure, and Jan 1 I'll be traveling. Have a good one though!
