suggestion 4 raffle material
Mike,
I suggested this in the Drubuntu group but why don´t you create some DVD burns of your ¨Drupal Dev. in a to-go box¨ environment to serve as raffle material? Not sure on your resources/time but a nice touch would be giving everyone in your presentation a copy (room seat ~30-40 ppl if the same rooms from last year are used). Or you could just give everyone at your presentation a raffle ticket to come & vie for the chance of a DVD from the LA Drupal booth).
Either way, everyone wins- more exposure to Drupal in an all-open source environment AND you get to drive TONS more foot traffic to the LA Drupal booth.
A BoF is a GREAT idea, especially the ones after the giveaway on Sat nite. But you have to hurry & ask for a timeslot before they´re all taken up. What about having the Feb. meeting there as a BoF? You could play it by ear, but might do well to think about newbie topics as the focus.
p.s. I´ll be volunteering at SCALE this yr, otherwise I´d jump at the chance to help out in the LA Drupal booth. But depending on what goes down on Friday for me, I might still have a chance to help out w/booth setup, etc.
pps. You´d probably wanna be fully setup by the end of Fri, imho.
BoF info...whoops
Looks like ALL the Sat nite BoFs are full already:
