Community discussions around Open Publish distribution.
OpenPublish is a packaged distribution of Drupal, that has been tailored to the needs of today's online publishers. OpenPublish is ideal for the implementation of a variety of media outlet's sites including: online magazines, newspapers, journals, trade publications, broadcast, wire service and membership publications. Built and supported on standard Drupal core (currently Drupal 6x), OpenPublish features support everything from basic news coverage needs to Web 2.0 trends, social publishing, semantic tagging and topic hubs. Each component bundled in the distribution is well supported, documented and modularly designed according to Drupal's architecture.

Important note: in order to fix consistency issues and critical bugs, in a timely manner, OpenPublish had to patch some third-party modules included in it. It's not recommended to independently update those. More information at: http://groups.drupal.org/node/60313
OpenPublish for Drupal 7
Is there any work being done to upgrade to Drupal 7? Any indications about when that might happen?
I have a project coming up that is based on OpenPublish but which needs to be moved to Drupal 7, so I may end up just rebuilding the relevant parts if there isn't anything happening here or perhaps we can integrate with these efforts if they are in place.

Missing "MoreLikeThis" and OpenPublish out of sync
I'm receiving a confusing error message. In my status report it reads, "Openpublish distribution: is out of sync. Please fix:
Missing (Module): morelikethis_taxonomy
Status is cached for performance reasons. Please re-check to see most up-to-date status"
I have the MLT module installed in sites/all/modules. I have activated them. I uninstalled them, cleared the cache, and reinstalled them but the error message won't go away. At a loss at what to do. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
[Edit: And sure enough, as soon as I post this, I find the problem. Please close. Sorry :) ]

So I try to create an RSS feed list on the front page using the context editor. When the enter feed box comes up I duly do that unfortunately I get a new screen and error message (presumably across each feed item)...

I'm testing a new install of OpenPublish & am trying to customize the Articles page View. In particular, I changed its path to /stories, I added a primary menu item to it called "Stories," I enabled more node types so it will retrieve multimedia content as well as article content, and it works as expected on the Views Live Preview. On the page however, defined by the same view, I see no stories. In the code my divs have no content, e.g.,

Read moreThe default content type AUTHOR isn't manageable
Hi all, i've noticed that when i create a node of the content type "Author" (that is provided by default from openpublish), i can't manage the "display fields" on the settings of this content type.. That is, if i exclude all the fields or if i don't exclude them, i have the same results... so i can't view on my node the new field that i created for this content type (ex. Link).

New theme vs. sub-theme of OP default
Reading through the OP documentation on theming, I notice a strong push towards creating a sub-theme. It seems to me, though, that the push comes from an assumption that you'll be keeping your site rather close to the stock OP functionality and look/feel.
