Long warning list when activating modules

Hi,

I was activating some modules in my installation of openpublish, and I got a long list of warnings showing in most of all (if not all of them) something related to "includes\menu.inc on line 2457".

openpublish 2.2, can views be updated safely? (security update available)

Hi!

I´m running an openpublish version 2.2. I have noticed that i have an available update for views (http://drupal.org/node/999386, which is "views 6.x-2.12") and is a security update that I want to patch as soon as possible. Can this version of openpublish be updated safely, without killing all the installation?

Any info on this would be greatly appreaciated.

Admin theme is broke up when server side error in content creation in openpublish 2.3

Hi,

I am using openpublish 2.3. and I created a subtheme of openpublish and admin default theme is rubik. Everything is working properly, but when I create a content with some wrong or empty entries then content form is return with some errors and now theme is openpublish_subtheme not rubik and page UI is broked up.
I went to admin/settings/admin/theme there is an option of content editing which is checked.
Any Idea or help is much appreciated.

How to use Twitter Pull?

I've been searching for how to use the Twitter Pull module. I have gone to the project page and read about how to tweak the settings for my use, by doing the following...

I tweaked the settings in the openpublish_core.module, but for the life of me, I have no idea how to get a block to show up anywhere.

I went to Context and scanned line by line for something related related to Twitter as something that could be configured and came up with nothing.

How to theme custome_search module

Does anyone know how to theme custom_search module with core search module? I Follow http://drupal.org/node/154137 and http://systemseed.com/blog/how-customise-search-box-drupal-6. it work perfectly with core search module but when I installed custom_search module then I am not able to control custom search type combo box?
Any help is much appreciated.

How to Stretch Featured Image Across Left and Mid Columns?

What CSS do I need to drop in to permit the featured image to span both the left and middle columns of the default OP theme?

Is Image FUpload multi-image loader compatible with Open Publish ? "Page not found" when visiting ../node/add/image/list_images after images found (latest dev release installed, modules re-enabled, update.php run)

I'm wondering if there are compatibility issues with Open Publish and Image FUpload - the tool that uploads multiple images, because I get page not found when visiting ../node/add/image/list_images to go to the next stage of image uploads following doing the uploads.

I've taken the advice here, but still get the same problem of "page not found".

I have 3 requirements for publishing my own photos on my own site
1) multiple batch uploading
2) integration with an external photo sharing network to widen my presence on the web i.e. so that my content will get seen elsewhere which will draw people to my site. The photos themselves would either hosted on the external site and referenced by my site OR a copy is on my site and on the external site
3) low resolution versions, but not too low available on the site, with ubercart integration should people wish to buy a hires version - expecting occasional trade here at best but would like to learn about this aspect.

how to create a panel / block / section of page

Im webmaster for debug.dk, im trying to create a new block / panel in the frontpage design. What i am aming for is having the feautered article above left bar and middle bar.

i have added this to /var/www/data-debug.dk/openpublish/sites/all/themes/openpublish_theme/page/page-front.tpl.php

Hi,

I've been working on a site based on openpublish for a while. The site is growing and the theme has changed very much, it actually looks nothing like the main openpublish theme. Im currently having an issue with IE7, the oldest browser we're supporting (we're running heavy jquery stuff, for instance) and the browser gets hammered everytime it loads my stylesheets, and the one cached from openublish.

I'm creating a local news & information website for my community using OpenPublish. I'm kinda of new to the world of soliciting for local advertisers for banner ad space. What's are the going rate for a top banner ad (728x90)? A right column ad (300x250)? I'm also utilizing a lot of video for content, so there's the potential for pre- & post-video ads too. Any idea of going rates for those? What videoplayer works best for ad insertion?

All rate methologies (impressions, clicks, etc..) is welcome.

Open Publish - Fatal Error Adding Topic Hub Condition. Can you help me?

Hi,
I installed Open Pushish http://openpublishapp.com and I'm testing this Drupal Tailored Distro.

I tried to create my first Topic Hub, but when I add Condition 1 (Topic -> Business -> Condition 1) and after I save I get a Blank Page with this error message:

Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /home/~/openpublish/sites/all/modules/ctools/includes/export.inc on line 905

I don't know what is wrong.

I installed openpublish in shared hosting by webfaction.com
All work properly but Topic Hubs have this problem.

I installed openpublish 2.3 build 441.

How to create a 'about the author' contect block/view?

Hi all,

I tried to create a 'about the author' block/view, which should be displayed on the article detail node. Currently, by default the 'about the author' is shown at the bottom (hardcoded in the OP node views).

OpenPublish errors with PostgreSQL

I realise the requirements state that MySQL is strongly recommended but I wanted to let you know of an issued with PostgreSQL. I installed OpenPublish and the first page I visited gave me errors. This is the latest rc OpenPublish-2.3-Build441.tar.gz.

* warning: pg_query(): Query failed: ERROR: column reference "nid" is ambiguous LINE 8: GROUP BY nid ^ in /var/www/sites/openpublish/includes/database.pgsql.inc on line 139.

We are getting very close to launching our OP site for our 125-year-old old weekly newspaper. We are very, very happy with the system. Sure, it's tricky to learn, but it's worth it once the pieces start to click. I'll post some insights and a link to the site when we are ready to share, but I did want to say to those just starting to hang in there! I think you'll be happy you did.

Delete content type and fields

Hi,

I want to use openpublish for my project and i want to keep just the necessary.
So, i wanted to delete some content type (like audio, package or slideshow), but i can't delete them.
Any idea ?

Maybe i could delete in the database with phpmyadmin... but i prefer to use admin panel.

Can OpenPublish Become a News Framework Rather than Complete Ecosystem?

I often wish I could use the OpenPublish image module, or ability to connect author bios' to articles without needing several dozen others. Speaking from a non-technical standpoint, it would be nice if such plug-and-play were possible. Currently, there is this all-or-nothing approach. I like using the pressflow Drupal distribution, but it would be handy if I could plug in some news-centered tools to accomplish very discrete tasks not easily done through the core - such as providing a cutline for images.

Just some thoughts.
