This is a local user group for sharing knowledge about Drupal and networking with other folks in the greater Seattle web/tech community.
SeaDUG meets monthly to talk about Drupal, to plan related events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
We welcome participants from all skill levels and all disciplines related to website building and development - marketers, project managers, developers, designers, writers, devops, user researchers, QA, and more.
Stay in Touch
- Join the SeaDUG Slack workspace to chat regularly with other SeaDUG community members.
- Follow us on LinkedIn for more frequent news and Drupal-related content sharing.
Jobs
PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle, or remote and open to people who live in Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area or open to its residents will be promptly removed.

Co-Work thursday on Capital Hill?
Anyone interested in getting together to do some work out of the house on thursday?
Maybe around 2pm at vivace on Denny?
I have a call at noon that i should be done with by then. Of course there is no reason why people couldn't meet there earlier. We should probably go and reserve the room if we want to use it, i could swing by today.

This tip might be helpful to others. I have been having problems getting cron to run consistently. Last night, Shawn gave me a tip to clear the news aggregator queues. I removed the aggregator items and selectively updated each news feed. One feed wouldn't update and it caused an error message. I deleted the problem feed and was able to run cron successfully.
For example: http://domain.com/admin/content/aggregator
Click, "remove items" then "update items"
Regarding configuration control and versioning
One of my partners, Arthur (arthurf), just posted this to one of our internal lists. Since we were talking about it (how to track configuration changes if you work on a staging site) last night, i figured i would pass it along:

Our biggest group yet is meeting right now. Very cool! I wanted to test the TOC functionality that is apparently available at groups.drupal.org. So this is a test. First some extra text to push our headings down.

Jared, Shawn and I were talking this weekend about panels and themes. The question of eliminating blocks from your theme when using a panel came up. I couldn't find the code for this, but just go it from one of my engineers:
// Hide sidebars on panel pages
if (function_exists('panels_is_panels_page') && $vars['panels_page'] = panels_is_panels_page()) {
$vars['sidebar_left'] = '';
$vars['sidebar_right'] = '';
$body_classes[] = 'panels_page';
} SWF Tools Module Question
Hi I thought I might post a question here as I am stumped. I was wondering if anyone here uses the swftools module with the 1pixelout player. I am having an issue with it. When I attach an mp3 to a node with "upload" and submit I get "Error with xml generation by the onepixelout module" and the player will not load the file. SWF Tools makes an xml playlist that is in the files dir in a dir called playlists, but it is empty.

At our last meeting we talked about doing a little co-work time at Vivace before the next meeting. I thought I would post to see if anyone would be interested in getting together to do a little of that this Friday. I have reserved the private room at the Vivace on Capitol Hill link from 3-5pm. I will be there, plugging away on my little Drupal project.
