Seattle

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

Welcome to the Seattle Users' Group!

This is a geographic Drupal User Group meant primarily for planning local Drupal related events and meetups, and supporting users locally.

SeaDUG meets regularly (at least once a month officially) to talk about Drupal, to plan Drupal events, and to socialize. During SeaDUG meetings we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.

There is also an online front-end meeting that takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at noon Pacific Time. It's not always posted here, but information about it can be found in the front-enders channel in the SeaDUG Slack workspace.

PLEASE do not post job offers in this group unless they are local to Seattle. Any job posted to this group that is not in the Seattle/Puget Sound Metropolitan Area will be promptly removed.

If you are a consultant or vendor providing Drupal services in the Seattle/King County Metro Area ONLY, please add your name to this post.

Front-end Drupal Developer at DSHS in Olympia

Hi Everyone,

I was contacted by a former client who is now at the DSHS in Olympia. They are looking for a front-end Drupal developer for a 6 month contract. I am just passing this along and don't know much more than this.

Ideally they would to hire someone as opposed to sign a contract with a vendor and are open to freelancers. He said the person wouldn’t have to be in the office in Olympia 100% of the time, but would like to see someone down there 1-3x a week.

Here’s a description of the position.

Front-end Drupal Developer (ITS/AS6)
- 6 month contract (start ASAP)

Share your experience at InfoCamp 2017

Hey - I help organize an unconference at UW called InfoCamp. It's for people in the Information Science and Technology fields to get together and share ideas. Since it's cross-discipline, we end up with really insightful conversations and learn about new techniques and trends for our practice.

As an unconference, attendees pitch session topics they want to discuss. It can be a question you want to ask, or an idea you want to share. There are prepared sessions with a slide deck, or panels of experts on a subject, or just open conversations.

PNWDS 2017 Vancouver: I accidentally registered twice! Wanna buy my second ticket?

Hello, fellow PNW Drupaliers!

In a panic over tickets selling out, and not being able to locate any email confirmation of my having already registered, I inadvertently bought a second $55 ticket to this year's event.

I subsequently noticed the "tickets" tab in my account profile, informing me that I had registered way back in early December.

So, I have an extra ticket -- I believe there is some way that I can pass mine on to someone, so if anyone is interested in buying my second ticket, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks!

~ Richard

Travel to/from PNWDS

I was hoping to get a list of folks that are traveling to and from the PNWDS in Vancouver so that we can coordinate, carpool, hang out, or just meet in the Amtrak bar-car... :)

If you're attending and have your travel plans figured out, post them here. If you're driving and have a spot in your car, post here. If you need a ride, post that here as well.

Looking forward to the summit!
