Drupaldojo.com seems to be down
I've been trying to get to drupaldojo.com for a few days now, and running into difficulty.
I'm using openDNS and get the following error.
The computers that run drupaldojo.com are having some trouble. Usually this is just a temporary problem, so you might want to try again in a few minutes.

Read more Drupal Dojo + drupal.org/videocasts = video.drupal.org?
During the Drupal Dojo Birds-of-a-Feather meeting at DrupalCon Boston we discussed two seperate items that I believe are interconnected: figuring out how to get more video lessons into the Dojo and doing a better job of attracting more potential teachers and students to the site. To address the first of these issues, I committed myself to doing outreach to individuals and companies who are creating video-based instructional materials to try and get them to submit their work to the Dojo. After that session I started to look around the series of tubes known as the "Internet" and I found quite a few videos. But, what I also noticed was that a good percentage of those videos already are being shared with the Drupal community, but through drupal.org/videocasts rather than the Dojo, which oddly doesn't seem to appear on the videocast pages at all. This brought to mind something that I've heard Josh and others talk about, the idea that we should consider moving the dojo to something more aligned with Drupal.org itself, and I have to say that the more I think about it, the more sense it makes to me.
So, my question is this: does it make sense to consolidate our collective efforts in one location that is better connected with d.o. itself? Something like video.drupal.org, or possibly as a subsection of a <a href="http://drupal.org/handbook/customization>tutorials section of the site (which is where the videocasts now sit), which could be called something like tutorials.drupal.org.

Here is what we have for the DrupalDojo.com website spec, taken from the issue queue which has been open for work on this for 2 months. Please expand/clarify/rework anything in the comments and they can be rolled in. On Friday, Feb. 22 comments will be turned off and the document will be considered final. We will begin creating wireframes from these specs immediately so we can open it up to a little design contest, ideally at Drupalcon!

If folks haven't noticed, there has been quite a bit of talk about Dojo 2.0, kicked off by Josh's post. We've had a lot of good ideas tossed around and we still have some fuzzy ideas about Dojo that need to be ironed out. I wanted to write this post to sort help move us in the direction of getting organized and actually implementing.
Firstly I'd like to propose a new guideline to adopt just for sanity. ;-)

Hey, folks. Drupaldojo.com has been cleaned up a bit, with some new colour tweaks and a funktacular new Mini Lessons page. The carousel now only stocks lessons, so you'll have to use the mini-lesson/coffeetalk buttons to find those other links. Please take a moment to browse through drupaldojo.com and tell me what feature or adjustment you feel it needs most. C&C welcome!
New features:
-Re-organized
-Doodleboard!
Features that have been requested:
-separate links for torrent/non-torrent download of screencasts
-return of 'Resources' page
Now, more importantly:
Do you find yourself with twenty minutes to spare, a microphone and a burning desire to help your fellower drupalers?

Submit a mini-lesson! Choose an aspect of drupal you're familiar with, be it installing/configuring a module, information about your favorite hook, or how you built your last drupal site, and tell us about it!
Reasons this is awesome:
- You help your fellow man
- You build massive karma
- I'll build you an saucesome avatar.
Discussing Growth: DrupalDojo.com/net/org?
UPDATE: I made a mistake and had comments turned off. Please comment on this! I want your feedback and discussion!
In just six weeks, this group has really taken off, and I have been extremely pleased and excited by the response from the community, and by people's willingness to jump in and help out.
I think we're doing a lot of valuable work. We've got an excellent core group and a process for having "lesson" events that seems to really provide value, especially given the excellent work that so many of you have done to create screencasts and written documentation after the fact. So thank you all once again for your participation.
The topic of the day is growing pains. There was much discussion of this in Sunday's CoffeeTalk discussion, which I was thrilled to see take on a life of its own without my participation.
There are several points I would like to cover, not least of which is what (if anything) to do with the domains drupaldojo.com, and .org, which Squidster took the initiative to acquire, and .net which is owned by Senpai. Read on for my thoughts on this, including a pretty graph!

[02/26/2007 -- Senpai: I stumbled across this post and felt it was quite relevant to what's going on this week regarding the potential ideas for our drupaldojo.org site. I tagged this post with 'documentation', 'drupaldojo.com', and 'drupaldojo.org', as well as the wide-seeking 'CoffeeTalk' tag. There may not be any content in this here post, but the comments below it are golden for our current state of affairs!]
