taxonomy

I have a few content types that I have used pathauto to alias as taxonomy listings. Will drupal paginate automatically when a certain number of nodes are displayed? Is there a way to make that happen?

I'm using the taxonomy page that's in code for Panels. In my selection rules for a variant, I am checking for a certain vocabulary type. There are a few terms however, that I would also like to be variants that reside in that vocab type.

Is this possible? Do I need to use php code or is that where contexts come in? I'm still trying to wrap my brain around panels 3.

I have been trying to use the Rules module to grant points to a user based upon the taxonomy term used for organizing points. I have been successful at granting points to the user but it always adds the points to the first term in the vocabulary and no matter what order I load the user id and term id into the rule, it always seems to ignore the term id.

I assume I am doing something completely wrong and am hoping someone can point at me and say: "Did you click the, blah blah?" Any help would be awesome, thanks!

I find it not so easy to theme categories on node edit pages. For example, if I have a group of input fields for location, where "City" is a CCK text field and "State" is a vocabulary, I don't know easy (standard Drupal) way to put "City" and "State" close by; there could be other vocabulary fields that are not related to location and should be placed apart from "State".

I have been resorting to kind of hacky approaches such as javascript to manipulate/relocate fields on client side, which works but I can't help feeling there must be a better way.

Mitt problem den här gången rör argumenten i views.
Det som jag försöker göra är att använda flera termer som argument till min view, där alla måste stämma för att noden(erna) ska visas.
exempel: doman.se/2007/januari ska bara visa noder som har termerna "2007" och "januari" (som inte har någon relation till varandra).
Termerna ligger alltså inte:

-2007
--Januari
--Februari
osv.

utan är helt oberoende av varandra.
Det känns som att man vill få in en eller flera "AND" i sql:en på nåt sätt nånstans, men jag fattar inte hur.

Jag undrar om det finns nåt bra sätt att få ut taxonomy-termer distinkt i views?
Skulle behöva göra en lista av olika termer som har laggts in, men jag får duplicates när jag väljer taxonomy-term:all, och väljer ett speciellt vokabulär.
Jag har testat att välja "distinct", men det verkar inte ha nån effekt alls. Nånstans.
Vet inte om jag har förklarat bra nog, men om det är några frågor på vad jag menar så förklarar jag gärna tydligare.

Om någon har en lösning, så vore jag mer än tacksam.

Using Drupal 6.13 .
I'm building a news site but there's one problem I don't now how to solve - the images database.
I'd like to ask You how do You do that.
I mean - site should have image database with taxonomy so that editor may search for images based on taxonomy.
So I need a module:
1. to upload many images and transforms metadata like description to tags
2. module to search through these images on the base of taxonomy
3. module that allows attaching an image from taxonomy database image.

The module is in Beta so I do not recommend using it in production however if it is as useful for others as it has been for us, then it will have lots of bright minds helping to make it better.

I'm trying to get my head wrapped around the rules module and I've been searching for clues for 2 days now.

Scenario
I want to create a membership website that sells time based information
To bring prospective customers to the site I would like to show them information that our subscribers had access to but is no longer useful
That way they can see that at the time the information was published it would have been useful to them
I'm thinking the way to go is taxonomy by tagging the subscribers content as subscribed and the free content as free.

En kort fråga om ett ämne som det finns skrivet lite här och där. Säg att man vill göra en shoppa-kläder-online sajt och kategorisera (många kategorier). Hur skall man tänka när man skall välja att göra det, taxonomy vocabulary och termer eller cck fält? Jag fattar att taxonomier är bättre då man har att göra med hierarkier, med mer då? T.ex "storlek" känns mer som cck fält, medan plaggtyp under herr/dam känns mer som taxonomi lr? Skall man blanda, hur isf.? Och glöm nu übercart, va bara exempel med online shopping...
