Multiple Registration forms for a single Event

Setup:
Drupal: 7.14
CiviCRM: 4.1.5

I have created an event and a registration form for attendees. Now I need to create a second registration form for the same event for vendors. I can't do both on the same registration form as there are differences between attendee options and vendor options.

I see I can create a contribution form with a type of "Event Fee" but how will that record the person as being a vendor for this particular event?

What CRM approach to use for Open Outreach? CiviCRM? native Drupal CRM?

Membership management and other CRM functionality is a common need for the nonprofits and activist organizations that the Open Outreach Drupal distribution aims to serve. With basic organizational website needs now covered in Open Outreach, turning to CRM is a key next step.

But how? CiviCRM integration? Or native Drupal CRM functionality?

We'd love to hear from both CiviCRM users and integrators and those working on native Drupal CRM solutions.

5 motivators of giving in Open Source Ecology, CiviCRM

Hello everybody,

we are trying to implement the 5 motivators of giving, as shared by in the TED Talk of Taylor Conroy - How to Build a School in 3 Hours (worth watching, 19min) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC02SmuOxYI . The motivators are: Group Mentality, Tangible Outcome, Microgiving, Personal Connection and Recognition. We believe that these are indeed motivators and we want to integrate them in the CiviCRM Personal Campaigns.

Who are we and what we are doing?

Any CRM Pushers at PNW Drupal Summit?

Are any of you CRM gurus attending the Oct 14 PNW Summit meeting? I'm surprised to not see any proposed sessions related to CRM development/integration.

I'm involved in CRM integration for churches/nonprofits, initially using CiviCRM but want to hear from the voice of experience and see a comparison of strengths/weaknesses of the upcoming solutions (Red Hen, dropCRM, churches CRM, etc) vs established ones like CiviCRM. As a newcomer to the CRM discussion, I'm looking for a bird's eye view of what's happening.

Any chance of a meetup in Portland? Will CiviCRM have a presence?

Views 2 Argument Handling Code with CiviCRM View

I'm looking for views argument handling code that will link a CiviCRM contact to a Drupal node. The idea is that a Civi contact has a profile page (node). The profile page (node) includes blocks that contain views of a corresponding Civi Contact.

For example. An organization by the name of "Cultural Arts Center" has a profile page (a drupal content type) titled "Cultural Arts Center". They also have a Civi Contact with a display name "Cultural Arts Center" . I want their contact info and some custom fields from Civi (ie their mission) to show on their profile page.

We've just launched our new website using Drupal 7 and CiviCRM at http://www.woodlandschurch.net/. We'll shortly be rolling out a similar design to our other congregations: http://www.the-community-church.net/ and http://www.highgrove.org.uk/ (These are currently running our older Joomla site)

We're using Views, Media, Domain, Context, Organic Groups and CiviCRM to power the site.
