Site migration/move and overcoming issues changing databases.
Greetings MT Drupaliers!
I found that I had to move my site. I went from a MySqli to a MySql database set up.
Everything (I believe) is the same.
The site will not connect (thelightscriber.com ) and shows it offline and that I am facing DB issues.
I did change the settings file in the DB line but that was it. Still a no-go.
I have searched but most threads say to just change the one line in Settings. Did that but still epic fail.

Hej!
Jag satt igår kväll och arbetade med mitt drupal7-projekt. Försökte få in en WYSIWYG-editor. Först installerade jag modulen, och därefter CKEDITOR. Ställde in så den skulle användas på rätt ställe, och applicerade inställningarna. Därefter fick jag bara vita sidor så fort jag skulle in och skapa något eller redigera i något.

I`m trying to upgrade our hotel booking site. Each hotel has several characteristics, so I put them in integer CCK fields. After that I created a view with about 30 exposed filters according all the hotel fields.
After I put the site live (~1500 visitors per day), the mysql server went down almost immediately. The problem is crazy sql queries that views module makes. For example, http://pastebin.com/gxNTzwuR . It`s the real user query I`ve took from the query log.
I`ve added indexes to all that 'content_field_xxx' tables (field_xxx_value) - still no luck.
MySQL Problem on Upgrade or Fresh Install
I have Aegir 0.4 alpha7 installed. I tried to do an upgrade to alpha9 and got hit with some errors about which I posted here. I then tried a fresh install and encountered essentially the same error. Here's the entire output of the install.sh.txt script:
me@server:/var/aegir$ sudo su -s /bin/bash aegir -c "sh install.sh.txt aegir.example.com"
==> Aegir automated install script
==> MySQL is listening on 24.172.126.91.

Switching from MySQL to Cassandra using Cassandra modules?
Switching from MySQL to Cassandra using Cassandra modules?
Hello,
Maybe one day I need Cassandra. I hope I can use only Cassandra without MySQL.
(Cassandra modules: http://drupal.org/project/cassandra)
I have some question:
1. Do I need to change the codes in modules (example: Views, CCK, etc) currently used to communicate with Cassandra? Or by using the api from this module?
2. If I have a website already running, how to migrate data from MySQL? Using Hadoop?
Thanks in advance.

After a lengthy discussion about metadata in 2009 (see here for one instance) kreynen created a new PBCore module to allow those using the Open Media Project to base their genres on PBCore – PBS’s internationally used genre list of 228 terms – which kreynen details nicely here .

O.K., new problem. :-)
I'm setting up the drupal install for the intranet. I thought I checked everything, but I get this error at the verify requirements page:
Your web server does not appear to support any common database types. Check with your hosting provider to see if they offer any databases that Drupal supports.
