Drupal Coworking Friday at Droplabs on January 27, 2012
Droplabs is happy to take part in Drupal Coworking Friday, a worldwide event spurred in part by the DrupalEasy Podcast #65 which featured Droplabs. We're in Downtown Los Angeles and are happy to host anyone in our local community or who is just passing through for some coworking on the last Friday of each month for some coworking. This event is free!
While every day is a Drupal coworking day at Droplabs, we're doing something different on Drupal Coworking Fridays and will provide light food and drinks all day. These are being hosted by Blake, Christefano and Paul, a few of the Droplabs founders.
After the day is over, a group of us will go to a nearby restaurant or pub. In the past we've had beers and a bonfire and were serenaded by Skrillex. We've also gone to a variety of other locations, including Barbara's at The Brewery (at 620 Moulton Ave., just a 5 minute walk away) and Carnitas Michoacan (on 1901 N. Broadway, just a 5 minute drive away).
About Drupal Coworking Friday:
- Proposed date: Last Friday of each month
- It takes place in your local city
- Anyone can start/host one
- Focused on Drupal Professionals (freelance, fulltime, part time, in office, home, etc.)
- This is not a meetup, code-sprint, BoF or presentation
- Attendees would still do their regular work/calls/etc
- Other Drupal folks would be there to talk to, collaborate, advise (and likewise for the attendee)
- Ideally, an entire section of the space will be dedicated for Drupal professionals
See http://groups.drupal.org/node/195983 for the Drupal Coworking Friday FAQ and the Coworking group at http://groups.drupal.org/coworking for general information about coworking.

December 29, 2011 is Leave GoDaddy Day and we're celebrating the occasion with a domain transfer and website migration workshop at Droplabs. You're invited!
What's Leave GoDaddy Day, you say? In simplest terms, we're participating in a global event with thousands of others and are moving GoDaddy-registered domains and GoDaddy-hosted websites to other registrars and webhosts.
This impromptu workshop is being organized by individuals who have done this migration already. If you've been inclined to do the same but wanted a helpful hand, this event is for you. Drop in any time between 11am and 4pm. We'll also be in the #droplabs IRC channel during the workshop and will provide emotional and technical support as needed.

Hi all, need some help here in Nepal!
Hi all, I am an ex-Cali person now living in Kathmandu Nepal and developing a complex drupal site, but I need help and there are two issues:
1) My IP address here in nepal is banned from drupal.org, dunno why. We are nice people here. So I am using TOR to get in.
2) I don't see where to post general questions, at a high level, for design questions using templates and whatnot. I see that every module has a project area, but my questions are mostly at a higher level than that.
Well, hoping some kind drupal soul can give me some advice on the above,
Cheers,
Jiggy Gaton aka Herojig
