The High Performance Drupal meetup has moved to Yahoo! at the Yahoo Center in Santa Monica and we're meeting this time on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Join us!

The meetup begins at 7:30pm but the doors open a little earlier at 7pm for Users Helping Users, which is a chance for members of the community to help and be helped by others with whatever questions and problems they're having with Drupal. Several of us may be going to a local bar or restaurant after the meetup for a Drupal After Dark.

If you'd like to give a presentation, announce a job position or ask any questions of the group, please leave a comment below and plan to come a few minutes early. If presenting, be sure to bring your laptop (and power and display cables) and whatever else you need.

This event is free – in fact, there will be raffle prizes and food and drinks will be provided – and no RSVP is required. Those who sign up, however, will have last-minute details (if there are any) sent to them before the meeting. LA Drupal meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and full-length presentations. We'll also have community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions, divine answers from the crowd and give brief, 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks. We'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark at 9:30pm.

Drupal Patch Bingo is a code sprint at Droplabs from 6-10pm on Saturday, August 20, 2011. You're invited!

Wait, what's Drupal Patch Bingo? Glad you asked! We're combining a code sprint with the universal accessibility and old fashioned charm of a 5x5 bingo game board. Teams with equal numbers of Drupal newcomers and Drupal veterans will be using the Drupal core patch bingo feature on Drupal.org to:

• Find outstanding issues in the Drupal core issue queue
• Score points by rolling patches and marking issues as RTBC (reviewed & tested by the community)
• Win prizes, bragging rights and more!

We're looking for volunteer contestants and judges, so sign up by clicking the Sign up button below! RSVPs are not required, but signing up makes it much easier for the event coordinators to arrange adequate tables and seating and contact you with last-minute updates (if there are any).

The monthly Inland Empire Drupal meetup will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 7-8:45pm. Following the meetup we'll head over to Applebees for some happy hour drupal fun.
