¿Escribimos a las diferentes editoriales, para que a cambio de publicidad de los libros nos regalen un libro por ponente?

Se que es tener mucha cara dura, pero vida del software libre es un poco de todo, y por preguntar no perdemos nada.

Un poster grande en la camp a cambio de unos pocos libros no es mala idea, no?

Simon from our office attended DrupalCon DC and came back with a present for me, the Lullabot video "Understanding Drupal".

I just posted http://drupal.org/node/376327 about some of my thought about Drupal promotion and also about how I became a member of the great Drupal community.

In it you will find some quick research info using Google and some ideas I have about how we should use new sites launched by big name companies and organisations to get more press cover about Drupal.

One observation I've had from lurking in the Knight Drupal Initiative meetings is something that's haunted me before. If only I was good at writing a solid grant proposal and subsequent review and revisions, some of my pie-in the sky ideas might actually turn into something valuable for the community (and provide a self-sustainable way for me to contribute).

So I've been starting down the path of building a stronger community at Penn State that's interested in Drupal. I know of about 60+ interested parties who at least want some more information about how Drupal could be used at my university. I'm also mentoring 4 or so students / staff in Drupal and as part of that effort, began to write an online book in Drupal to go over the basics or at least provide links out to other locations so they could get up to speed quickly. This began my thinking of a drupal@psu resource until I began to think a bit more about the resource.

Question is... in what way can we efficiently market this cool software here in the PH?

Sur le site de Ez, on peut voir tout le travail marketing de Ez vers la cible des groupes de media, section "eZ for the Media Industry".
Malgré la faiblesse de son marketing, Drupal arrive quand même à se hisser en challenger sur le marché des médias et de la presse.
On pourra cependant s'inspirer du site de Ez pour améliorer la communication sur Drupal.
