Designers and developers of all kinds, project managers, copywriters, testers, researchers, none/all of the above: leave a comment saying how you'd like to contribute (and any of the roadblocks you encounter in trying to do so).
Priorities

Major UX risk - Modules in D8 might not be possible to disable
For the last few months I have been following the progress of https://drupal.org/node/1199946 (Disabled modules are broken beyond repair) and issue that originally was created two years ago.
In my opinion there is great risk this is going to turn into yet another UX nightmare for Drupal 8. The current course this issue is taking is that core wont have any UI for disabling modules. See the https://drupal.org/node/1199946#comment-7525917 comment for resent info about this.

Proposal based on observations from UX Hangout June 3rd
I had a great time at the Monday UX meeting yesterday and I believe we accomplished a lot as well as made progress about many other important things. As this was the first time I attended from start to end, I would like to take this opportunity to present the good, the bad and the ugly from my fresh point of view.

The key to improving Drupal 8 UX is get actionable issues into the queue as soon as possible.
During a community ux/usability BoF at Drupalcon Portland, we identified some areas of Drupal 8 that need usability testing. The testing will uncover issues to be fixed. Volunteers are needed to run usability studies at Drupalcamps or with others locally this summer. Coaching on running usability studies and assistance with the usability study script will be provided.

May 2013 DrupalCape Meet-Up - UX Unplugged
Its been a while and we have missed you. We have had 4 rather cosy meetings so far this year, and with the winter coming on we thought that a little more body heat would be good. Soooo, come and join us!!
This meeting format will take the form of a presentation and then a workshop in which we take a look at two sites which Marco will select, one good, and one bad.
Please take a look at the Eventbrite page here http://www.eventbrite.com/event/6730000613 to find out more about the meeting and also to book a seat :).

This is a proposed solution to the problems outlined in the Review of the usability of Overlay in Drupal 8 by the same author.
Terms
Primary Object: anything the user begins editing directly from a menu or list page.
Secondary Object: anything the user begins editing from within the task flow of editing a primary object.

Over the past months as we worked to improve the user experience for content authors in D8 by simplifying the way users perform the most basic tasks in Drupal an issue that has repeatedly arisen is the overlay module. There has always been some debate about it’s value—and given that changes are already necessary to integrate with new core functionality—this is a good time to drill in and re-assess how overlay is working and see if we can improve it. To set the context here are a few of our observations:
