Lingotek is actively hiring
Hi Drupalistas,
Lingotek is actively looking to hire a senior-level Drupal developer position. We prefer on-site candidates but would be open to telecommuters with enough of the right experience. Check out the details here, and please pass on to any friends who might be interested:

Just wanted to get an "official" discussion going about DrupalCon LA. Going to a DrupalCon is a great experience and LA isn't that far from Utah. So I wanted to get a thread going to get people talking about travel plans. I'd really like to see a large representation of Drupal Utah at this DrupalCon.
If you need a ride, can give a ride, or want to split the cost of a hotel room please comment here so others can coordinate with you.
Read moreOpenWest looking for sponsors
The OpenWest conference is coming up, May 7-9 in Orem, and the organizers are looking for sponsors. We had a great list of sponsors for our recent Camp, and so many companies looking to hire developers here in Utah. OpenWest may be another great opportunity to get your name out into the greater PHP community and snag a talented PHP developer who can be taught the "Drupal Way" and help grow our community.
If you're interested in sponsorship, please contact Steve Meyers at steve@stevemeyers.net.

We now have brochures (attached here) for DrupalCamp and the monthly DUG meetings. Thanks Derek!
I've sent them out to various Universities so we can start plugging into their comp-sci students. Next, I want to build a list of businesses already using Drupal, either internally or as consultants. Any contacts you have would be awesome. Please add them here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17Ppkw5ocS2uXcy-2XwPDDYD12FAUBQVO...

I am working with a company who is considering opening an office in the Greater Salt Lake City Area.
The immediate need would be for back end drupal developers who could help support existing drupal websites, build custom modules, and launch mobile applications.
Does anyone have recommendations for developers or development firms in the area? They want to get a sense for the depth of the local talent pool. Type of work would require PHP system architecture and development experience and developing/designing open source applications (Drupal, WordPress, Elgg, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, etc.)

Group planning barriers
We had another great meeting out with Bret and the Rhino crew. Ping pong definitely needs to become a more prominent part of that gathering!
We continued discussion about formalizing group leadership. One clear barrier arose: nobody wants to step on anyone's toes. While we don't currently have formal leaders, we definitely have leaders... those who have been stepping up in recent years.
