Commerce specific themes or not?

Hello,
I’m a beginner Drupal user (explains my question).
There are few themes made for Drupal Commerce and many other Drupal 7 themes that are not specifically built for it.
Does it matter which ones to use to have less potential problems?
Are paid Drupal Commerce themes more stable then free ones?
Any recommendations?
Thank you

Adding JW player to a product page

Hi, New to all this but I have a theme I have modified a lot, I am on my last tweeks but getting stuck. I have the theme going good, products and everything work good, I am just trying to add a video to the product page. I can make a video page on it's own, plays fine. I have added the field to the product set up page, so now you can upload the video to the product page, but it does not show up when the page is viewed. Maybe my css from my theme is blocking it? Any help or a point in the right direction would be awesome, sorry if this is not posted in the right place. Cheers-

implementing a basic "cart" function for a non-ordering type of usage

Based on core Drupal 7.19 (without any commerce-related modules), we have created a prototype site using a content type "video record," for a collection of in-house training and informational videos. From that we have a View and various filtering functions based on taxonomies. We now realize we need something like a shopping cart function for the user to select and gather desired items and view as a group, preferably also to be able to share the "cart" by emailing a URL. It is not really for ordering purposes, just for reference as examples of certain types of videos.

'in stock' or 'out of stock' shown on product display, allow costumers to order in both of the events

Hello everyone,

I'm new to DC and I need help.

I started to use commerce kickstart and installed the commerce stock module. It is working well, but I have to let the costumers purchase when stock is zero.

I have to sign that if a product is 'in stock' or 'out of stock' but I also need the 'add to cart' badge in both of the events to let them order.

Please let me know if there is any oportunity to solve this problem.

Thanks,
Marci

Ideas on charging to create content??

Hi,

I am putting together an outline on creating a site that would allow a registered user to "buy" (through PayPal) the ability to add an item of content.. I guess you could think of it in similar terms to a classified ads type site that would charge a user to place an item on the site something like eBay..

Anyone have any suggestions as to which modules or combinations of modules would create this functionality?

Thanks..

Drupal Commerce + Rules + Paypal for modular recurring payments

Hi all,
Just finish releasing new module and writing the whole use case about it.
In few words - we had to fill the gap of some missing "building blocks" between Paypal, Drupal Commerce and Rules, and once we made it, the flexibility of recurring payments using Paypal is much stronger.

Long story - http://shushuinbar.blogspot.co.il/2013/01/using-drupal-commerce-for-node...

Any comment is more than welcome !
Hope this will be useful for others.

Need to build event product in a bundle with selection features...

Hi guys,
i've been looking around the docs, forums, etc. but i can't found out how to build my special case!

I need to build this:

PRODUCT WORKSHOP:

  • All 4 sessions: 160€
  • Session 1: 50€
  • Session 2: 50€
  • Session 3: 50€
  • Session 4: 50€

Means i need checkboxes, and if the customer choose "All sessions" the others are inactive, or they can order individual ones. Also the full package has a different price than if you take individuals one by one...

Does anyone has this case, and can maybe lead me on the right way to go?

Thanks,
Tom

Korean payments gateways and merchant accounts

Annyeong haseyo! 안녕하세요

I heard a rumor that Korean government is introducing regulations that will shut out non-Korean payment gateways like PayPal. What are the payment gateways and compatible merchant accounts that Korean users are using with Drupal?

Even if the rumors aren't true, I'd like to get an idea what people are using in preparation for our first-ever Korean-language Drupal meetup in Koreatown, Los Angeles, in California.

Thanks! (너무) 감사합니다!

Selling Certificates

Hi,
I'm working on a site that is supporting centers that sell a service with a guaranty. A guaranty certificate will be sold through the store I'm setting up, but I've not found a module that fits my needs.

When purchasing this certificate, the service center must supply a name and a serial number to the be printed on the certificate. The certificate must also contain the name of the center buying it/supplying the service. This then has to be delivered as an electronic download (pdf) that can be printed out at the location and given to the client.

Controling Access to Products

Hi,
I'm working on a solution for a company that has a closed shop. This company is selling to certified reselling centers so the shop has to be closed. This is easy with Drupal, but this company is also using multiple price systems. The service is based on regions with multible currencies, price structures (commisioned based reselling, royalty fee, etc.).

Linking to different view types

I'm sure this should be easy but despite googling, I can't seem to find it anywhere. In, say, a list of product teasers, which include images, I've chosen to link the images, titles, whatever to content. But it only seems to link to the default view type. I'd really like to choose the content I link to so I can link my teasers to different view types depending on what I want. I've found the View Mode Modal module which does what I want except it pops it up in a modal window. Any suggestions?

commerce file when physical file is on another server

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion or can point me in the right direction on the following situation. I'm fairly new to drupal so am researching to determine the best way to proceed. I need to modify my drupal commerce store where I am selling file downloads, PDFs. Commerce file is working fine and the completed order and the user's files tab has the link that points to a .pdf existing in the drupal private files directory.

Multiple event registration system - Best approach?

Hi, hoping this is the right way and place to ask this.

I am hoping to set up event registration system using Drupal Commerce which looks to be an awesome e-commerce system.

I have looked at a few ways to do this but so far come a bit unstuck. Probably because I am still getting my head around how DC all works.

I have no problem setting up a product as an event and creating a display and even adding some additional attributes. What I am stuck with is how to have a group of events available together with one add to cart. Product bundle doesn't quite fit this case.

Best Option for Paid Subscriptions

I'm looking to build a simple subscriptions Drupal 7 site. The basic requirement is be able to buy a couple different products and then get recurring payments for the user on a month by month basis OR quarterly OR bi-annually OR annually. Ideally, I'd like some Rules integration but I can probably add this myself too.
